My 360 has OFFICIALLY DIED.

I've had the red rings of death over 20 times now...over a 24 hour period.

I was holding out hope (see earlier posts)...but it's RIP now.

As posted above, I am abroad for work + family and cannot get it fixed.

I've already got a PS3...that machine and company will be getting all my money from this point on.

I'm half way through Bioshock...which makes it even more annoying.

30-40% failure rate for a machine is a disgrace.

Luckily, I've already got a PS3. I'll wait for the demo next week and then buy it for that system.

It's not good enough releasing a product with such a high failure rate. Any other company would go bankrupt / lose it's consumer base over this.

I'm not in a position to get it fixed. My only form of "compensation" will have to be self made. Living here in Asia, there's a million copied MS things here...yet I have all the legit versions. Have done the right thing.

My 360 dying has lost me though...

If you want you can send it here and I'll send it to MS as if I bought the system... they should cover me as long as it is a US based system. (If you imported it)

What are you going to do when your PS3 dies? Altimus is on his 3rd, I'm on my 2nd PS3.

My PS3 is covered. I bought it from a games shop here and the owner is cool. It's a Japanese model. Any probs, he'll replace it / fix it.

My 360 is a US one. No coverage here.

They've actually pulled the 360 from most stores here as the return rate was too high. A year ago, the 360 was about as prominent as the Playstation 2.

Now...they're, literally, hardly anywhere.

At least MS has lost one (large) market though it's incompetence.
