just buy one, heres some tips.. dont place your 360 on the floor always keep it on a wall unit or something (you know what im talking about).. try to keep the power adaptor a foot away from the system and dont keep your disc in the system when you finish playing.. also try to place a cover over the 360 when your not playing so it wont catch dust... im still on my first one and it has worked fine... but i think theyre coming out with a new and better version version of the 360 which runs faster and has less power consumption... try searching it up

I don't mean to be rude but it doesn't matter if you take care of or baby your 360. They have died on gamers who have setup an altar for their 360 and have babied them from day one. They have died on gamers who have given them maximum airflow and they have died on those who place them on a carpet. They have quit working on those who use a Nyko Intercooler and those who don't. They have died on those that have plugged them into a surge protector or battery backup system and those who have not.

The bottom line is that the 360 as a system is very unreliable and problematic and partly due to design issues. If you are lucky and still have a working launch 360 count your blessings that it still works.

For the record my launch 360 is still knock on wood as perfect as you can get and I always leave a disc in the tray. My warranty is almost up and i'm afraid of getting a replacement because there are still reports of new systems kicking the bucket.

Re: the new 360 CPU, they will not run faster but you are right they will consume a lot less power which means they will run much cooler and should be more reliable.

............We Hope !

i dont get it, every video game system i got for the last 10 years all worked fine.. this is going back when my older brother brought me nintendo, sega genesis, gamegear, n64,gameboy,gameboy advance, gameboy color, ps1, ps2, xbox 1 and 360... they all worked perfect and i never had to replace them...dont say its luck, i think the ppl who have trouble probably smacked the system or dropped it by accident... i just keep my 360 where it is and never touched the system i just put in the game and thats it...

P.S my brother just brought the nintendo and sega genesis not all the other systems i listed.. i payed for them
