360 Disk Tray Doesn't Open

I can't get my tray to open and tried some stuff I found online and nothing worked. I then called Xbox and nothing the guy told me worked either so Xbox is sending me a box for my damn 360.

I just got two great games (MLB 2K8 and Burnout Revenge (old I know but still loads of fun)) and now I can't play them for 2-3 weeks! Freaking sucks!

Has anyone else had this problem?

I had that problem with my second 360. If I tried to open it in the first 50 seconds or so, it wouldn't work, however several minutes later (after an initial period where it would not open for about a week). The 360 died some months later, but seemingly not from that problem.

When you push the eject button do you hear a "thud" noise like the disk tray is trying to eject? If so, right when you hear the noise push inward on the disk tray. Most of the time it will open up. You can also manually eject it if you have to. I would only recommend doing it manually if you have a game stuck in there and your wanting to send it to Microsoft.

Yeah that's exactly what I hear. I'll try that and maybe I can play until my box gets here. The guy I talked to had me manually open it so I know how to if I do get a game stuck. No matter what, I'm still sending it in. I don't want it to hurt me in the long run.
