Anyone buy a new 360 while the other was being repaired?

You are correct.

My only recourse is to complain to Microsoft and get a points reimbursement.

I am always online so it is not really an issue to me, but more of a principle kind of thing.

I have no regrets getting a new one, as the call center in India jacked something up and still have yet to get my coffin sent to me.

I might do go pick up a core one if my 360 dies. Split the cost with my brother so it would be like $150 each so not to bad.

Bought a replacement when mine went down and was getting repairs. Sold the repaired one on ebay when it came back.

I was in the same boat, but only Guitar Hero and having 2 guitars has kept me from selling my repaired 360. I love GH and I'd lose out on shipping costs if I went the ebay route.

I bought an Arcade last November when my original 360 died. I got the replacement plan at Best Buy because I was planning on taking it back and getting store credit to help pay for a ps3 and MLB '08. I don't know how you guys are selling your refurbs for $300 on ebay when you can buy a new one for $349.99. Are you selling to invalids?

I actually sold a 360 package for $500. Used premium 360, 20GB HD, 3 controllers, 2 faceplates, HD-DVD remote, 8 games (mostly launch titles and old sports games), 2 new SD-DVDs.
