Coffin being sent tomorrow, anyone go buy one in the meantime and sell the "repaired" one when they got it back?

Highly debating doing this before Best Buy closes tonight. Pros? Cons? Any issues? Seems like they have the redownload/license DLC issue fixed.

Mine died about a month ago. I sent it to Microsoft to get it fixed. I bought one at Wal-Mart the day after mine died and returned it after I received mine back from Microsoft. You have 90 days to return them at Wal-Mart.

I did that - agreed to sell my repaired one to friends (twins) along with a spare controller after it was repaired, then i bought a brand new 360 with HDMI (and w/o the controller, because i already had 4), while it was still at MS.

They said they have had no issues with the console since. The only issue at my end is that my Sonic arcade game was tied to the old console, and i could only access the trial version on my new console, despite using the same gamertag. That was fixed after a call to MS Support, where they gave me 400 free points to repurchase the game on my new console.

Yup...I bought a Core when my Premium red-ringed last summer and I just did the Gamestop swap (before they ended the replacement plans) for an Elite made two months ago on said Core.

The system is still loud as hell, but the back of the system stays as cool as the underside of your pillow.

Just redownloading everything now to get my rights to all of it again.

Yessers, I did last June when my original 360's graphic card took a crap right around the time that Forza 2 hit the shelves. I was dying to play that game in a bad way, but it would always hang at the first splash screen. Had to send for the coffin and was facing a two week delay in being able to play Forza 2

After about 2 days, I said "SCREW IT" and went to pick up a new premium. After the refurb came back, I sold it on Ebay for $300
