Microsoft has a couple questions for Sony (Good read)

There's some truth to Microsoft's assetions, but it's telling that it even had to be made. The PS3 is slowly, but surely, catching up to the system that had a year headstart on it.

Personally, I might buy a 360 if it had any games that really interested me. It doesn't. Pretty much all the games I like are either cross platform (sports games) or PS3 exclusives (like Warhawk and Uncharted). I would like Worms HD, but I'll wait until it shows up on PSN rather than buying a 360 solely for that.

good for you. That's your opinion, and the "********" one is mine. I've owned both, as I think most of us here either do or have. The 360 simply has the better library of games and far better online service. MS is correct on that. If it didn't, the ps3 would be burying the 360 right now. The ps3 is catching up, around the world, but not in America, the lead the 360 has here isn't even close.

The ps3 has a few exclusives right now, and a handful of promises. Nothing I played on the ps3 looked like it benefited from the hyped bluray size advantage. I personally don't like the MGS franchise, and got bored with Uncharted. Heavenly Sword is a mediocre God of War knockoff, while Ratchet and Clank was actually fun. I got tired of constant bluray updates taking precedence over making it a better gaming console, and the promised improved online is always months away.

With these in mind, the ps3 is something you consider primarily if you are concerned over the 360 failures, or if you want to watch movies on it. There's other reasons like being able to get updated rosters easier, or a standard HDD, but I got it because I was pissed off that I had 3 xbox 360's die in a year. However, strictly considering gaming, the 360 wins with its library and online service by far. That's why I went back. I enjoy gaming not to support one console blindly over another, or read about future titles I might enjoy. I do it to play the games out now.

Back to the original post and quote. Where is that 1080p library? I thought the Cell was soo powerful. What has bluray done for games again? And what about the online service? Yes it's free, but I see Sony doing a lot of feature matching with Xbox Live. Pretty soon they are going to find themselves having to charge for something.

I was a Sony fan for a bit with the PS2 but now there's nothing left that's compelling other than brand attachment. I don't see them in an even position at all in this generation.

Mass Effect, Halo, Gears of War, Bio Shock.

If none of these "interest you" then you represent about .00001% of the video gaming public as most of these have received critical acclaim. And all are XBox exclusives.

Mass Effect and Bio Shock are easily two of the best video games I've played...as in ever....as in since I started playing video games.

In your opinion though. Just because 2 of them are the best games you've played in your life, doesn't mean they are great games for everyone.

I guess I'm in that minority as I didn't care for any of those games either.

Yeah, out all those games, the only one I even played was Gears of Wars and that lasted about 3 weeks.

Same. Gears of War was the ****. The others... ho-hum.

I won't deny they move systems though, especially Halo. But god are those games boring... nothing we haven't really seen before:

-Many say Halo 3 was nothing more than Halo 2.5 HD
-A lot of people who experienced Bioshock apparently never played Deus Ex or any other similar game
-Mass Effect... Can't say much there, haven't played it but doesn't interest me.

Halo 3 sucked, plain and simple.

Bioshock was cool, had a great story, but never sucked me in like I hoped.

Mass Effect, I was bored within 10-15 minutes and took it back.

Gears is the only one I actually played longer than a week, and never got into it either like I hoped.
