Need help deciding:Ps3 Or 360 Please help

I can only afford one console, I never play online, I only play sports games, and baseball is my favorite sport. Plus I love watching movies in high definition. So my decision was pretty easy.

If all you want is sports games, and you like baseball, the choice should be pretty simple. All sports games are made pretty much identical for both systems, except MLB: The Show, which is the best baseball game available hands down. It is a Sony exclusive.

i thought i read something about backwards compatible issues regarding a certain size hard drive...any word on this (something to avoid?). sorry for the questions, but i'm an xbox guy and don't know much at all about playstations. thanks!

Yeah, the 40gig doesn't have backwards compatibility for ps2 games. But if you're an XBOX guy and don't own any ps2 games, that shouldn't matter.

I have the 40gig, and I have about 20 ps2 games that I can't play now. But I've yet to have the urge to play them in the 6 months that I've had the ps3.

I've been debating to buy a PS3 thanks to the live cashback deals going around, but looking through Gamefly it seems the PS3 only has a handful of games that aren't on the 360. I don't care about Blu-Ray at all so I couldn't really justify paying $300 for basically MGS and The Show. Meanwhile the 360 has Lost Odyssey, Ninja Gaiden 2, Halo 3, Blue Dragon, Crackdown, Dead Rising, Saints Row, Ace Combat 6, Forza 2, PGR4, Eternal Sonata, and if you've got an outdated PC, Mass Effect, Bioshock, and Gears of War.
