Re: Should I pay 90 dollars on repair cost (360)?

is there something about synching up the hard drive with the new xbox? i thought i read something about serial numbers (or something of the like)...just curious.

it's hard for me to fathom all of these 360's crapping out...now that i've joined that crowd i have a new sympathy for those dealing with this, especially the ones who have had this happen numerous times.

Might want to check up on the warranty thing. Myself I couldnt take it so i got rid of mine

well, the repair package comes with a 1 year warranty and xbox live. It's the same as buying a new 360 which automatically comes with a 1 year warrant. Either way, I would still have to pay additional dollars on an extended warranty, so going with repair is probably the best way unless it goes out early.

Huh? M$ extended their warranty for RROD and I believe that extends to 3 reds as well... considering mine just had that and it was repaired free of charge.

No he means 4. If he just had the 3 red rings issue it would still be convered under warranty and thus free to repair.

The RROD and the 3 red lights are the same thing. The OP got 4 red lights which indicates another problem. All issues besides the RROD are only covered for one year.

Mine went out again, this time in less than 6 months. It's not a RROD problem (system won't read discs), but the guy said they fix that for free too.
