PS3 unable to hold its own against Wii, Xbox 360 this holiday season

Maybe that was what made it such as easy purchase for me...I bought the MGS4 bundle that also had the dualshock 3 controller.

I don't make a crap load of money at all and I bought a PS3 with a couple of games and an extra controller. Had it paid off in 2 months. Also owned all three systems at one point. 360 was fun but I was always fearful of it dying. Sold it before it did. The Wii was okay but the novelty wore off fast.

My family is loving the ps3 and I haven't had this much fun with a console in years. Not to mention I have the confidence that it is well built. Blue-ray is just an added bonus.

So the ps3 costing a bit more so people go with the cheaper product is dumb once you think about it. 200 dollars isn't much these days. Even for a person that only makes 22 grand a year like me.

1. BluRay capability.
2. MLB The Show

It's been money well spent imo.

I did hate giving up The Show when I went back to the 360. 2k's MLB game sucks.

There you go...and MGS4 and thats the reason I got PS3. Cant beat it IMO. cant wait until 09 the show.

Exactly the same here.
If anything the PS3 raised HDTV sales. Well, it made me buy a new one.

Bottom line for me is I play the 360 tons more. Is it the better system? Doesn't matter at this point. The 360 came out first and I grabbed it. LIVE and the games kept me on the 360 and by the time the PS3 emerged I had already made a "connection" with the 360.
The other thing for me which makes this a mute point is I have to get every system. So I eventually buy them all. I bought the 60 gig system for 600.00. So for me the price tag doesn't matter.

If everything was reversed (PS3 released first WITH lag free online) I'd almost guarantee I'd probably be 90% PS3 even with the price tag.
