I dunno.. of course RROD sucks and i've got it twice now but last time the turn around time was only like 10 days.. and it was all free.. so as long as i'm not paying, it doesn't bother me That much.. i mean it sucks.. but it's not like it takes 3 months to fix it..

Jasper generates less heat, but there has been some reports of RROD in these too. But not like the older mobo's.

where on the box does it give the serial numbers? for the jasper ? or do i have to open the 360 and find out? how do i look for it to be a jasper?

I'll post this here for you too (ps the serial numbers are right on the back of the 360):

Arcade is still HDMI compatible, just doesn't come with one. You can buy a new Arcade, find the 120 gig HD's for 100 bucks, and a quality HDMI cable for 9, and you're looking at around 310 bucks... that's 90 dollars cheaper than an Elite dude.

Oh, and you can pick up a brand new headset at best buy for another 20 if you want, and you're still only at 330... STILL 70 cheaper than the elite.

Forget the elite bro, get the better console and spend less money.

i bought an arcade a week ago and it had a MFD of 06/15/2009 and its a jasper! I guess I should be happy???
