I don't pay the extra $2. But sometimes I ask them to show me the disc before they put it in the box. Just several days ago, I got a used Far Cry 2. It didn't even have the original box/manual, but the disc looks as good and clean as new.

I also keep all my games inside their boxes when I'm not playing anything.

By the way, can anyone explain what are all these mom and pops stores you're talking about?

They're just locally owned stores, unlike the corporations such as Gamestop or Best Buy.
