Well since we have a 3 year wait for this it's time for a little thread hijacking. The reason time goes faster is scientific but also psychological and about perception. When you're 10 years old for instance a lapse of 1 year at that point in your life is 10% of your lifetime therefore it seems to go slower as it is a bigger chunk of your life, time wise, and seems more significant because you have only have 9 years of memories prior to that and haven't experienced that much. So waiting a year for something at 10 seems really long because you have only lived 10 years and that's another 10% or so of your life to wait.

By the time you reach 40, one year is only 2.5% of your life at that point and that obviously continues to get smaller as you age. So a year wait seems alot less. Also you've had the same job and usually the same routine for years therefore time seems to go more quickly as daily life becomes less significant than it was when you were younger.

At least that's what I've read about it. OK now back to the thread and for all you old fogeys over 30, the new consoles will feel like they will be here next week.

Where this gen was the gen for FPS's hopefully next gen will be the gen for Sports gaming and even some fresh ideas. Sick and tired of cooker cutter games.

I'm not ready for next gen consoles and i dont think the economy is either. I just wonder if their will be a big enough leap in tech for it to be worth the price tag?

yeah i dont anything put out right now will BLOW anyone away.

i mean isnt that the whole intrigue/excitement of getting a next gen system? unless u feel that way, there is no point in getting it.
