Value wise you are correct. market wise I'm not so sure yet. The algorithm for pack hunters is already so one sided that even Tony Soprano is saying WTF Sony. I dont think these new packs will be any different. Instead of Trout, Cabrera etc, fully expect those packs to heavily kickout fringe gold players and camo cards. Fringe gold that will be silver level next week.

Well I only opened one of these and got trout and a 91 gold, but overall I think you are correct

Why would you want this game mode to be like every other Ultimate Team mode where 95% of the players will never get to play with the top players?

If the only reason is because you can't make profits anymore or you don't want to face the same team over and over again (yet playing against the Dodgers and Tigers in normal H2H games is fine?)....I can't exactly relate.
