Even the tiny one game missions require you to buy a specific, and therefore highly in demand, jersey. Then the next level of missions requires you to trade in a ton of apparel, again at huge cost, then the Immortal missions then require you to trade in an even more colossal amount of this rubbish, at an astronomical cost.

All seems like a complete con to me.
This wreaks of EA sports cash grab imitation

Re: Caps/jerseys cash grab

After finishing my first year of MUT this is nowhere near the cash grab MUT is.

I would prefer the uniform sets be about 50% of their current cost, but other than that I'm fine with everything so far. I understand that I'm not getting an immortal card tomorrow because I'm not spending money on stubs. The only way I get an immortal is through grinding/winning/pack luck.

I've accepted that

My guess would be that this person did a lot of market grinding too.

I have better things to do with my time than to flip cards on the market.

It's not that bad I'm about halfway done the exchange missions for my first target immortal and have already completed 5 or 6 career arcs, you just need some decent pack luck although the prices on diamonds seem to be crashing, I'm glad I unloaded mine when I did

Re: Caps/jerseys cash grab

It was literally the ONLY reason to add this stuff....to make more money. The fact that they are required for just about everything makes it WAY worse than it had to be. 100% a cash grab

I am pretty sure Decent Pack Luck is a myth.

Granted I have only opened between 40 and 50 packs but I have gotten noting above a silver. That does not entice me to keep trying.

Re: Caps/jerseys cash grab

I think because there are so many missions available via the ARCs that it’s giving people the false impression that you should be able to obtain these items quickly and cheaply. While I have no doubt that the addition of jerseys and hats was designed with the primary goal of making money it’s implemented in a fun way unlike EA HUT where challenges are not stat or player based and simply require challenge items only available in packs you have to buy or by beating the CPU on superstar.

Bottom line is this game has only been out for two weeks for those who pre-ordered and less than 2 weeks for everyone else. I’ve already managed to unlock a couple of Diamond cards, a few Gold cards, and some nice silver ones and I don’t have all the time in the world. I think we need to put it all in perspective.

Re: Caps/jerseys cash grab

SDS played It smart when you think about it. Take out microtransactions in RTTS, and if you look all the news articles on the game praise them for this choice, and then put in a pay wall like apparel to get people to use real money and have no one talk about it,. The point of apparel is to make you frustrated to the point of just opening up your wallet. This has been done in many other games this year. The most annoying part for me: some of the alternate jerseys they can make a stupid card for, but can’t put in the game! (Red Sox Patriots day home jersey for example)
