    New info!

Also I heard him say “real time lighting” … maybe not in the context I was hoping

From some of the screenshots the lighting looks amazing… hopefully we get some sort of progressive lighting.

That's the main new takeaway. They wanted to get away from "baked lighting" and the newer technology allows for real time calculations. I think he mentioned about having 16,000 player head models. I'm glad they didn't copy Madden legacy generated faces. I do wonder if Madden will copy EA CFBs generated faces

This felt awkward to watch. Why is the art director being asked about UM/OSU or signing real head coaches into the game? Quit trying to drag the interview down a path of “what’s your favorite…?” If you’re unsure what role a person does then ask open ended questions like “tell me a little about your process in working on this latest iteration, and how might that be different to what we saw in the past?”

I’m still left not knowing if we have real time lighting progression, dynamic weather or attendance. Field degradation and how that’s handled. All super simple asks that I’m sure could’ve been answered in a setting such as this.

Some of the tech that is being used in CFB25 feels like it has to find its way to Madden soon.

Wear and Tear w/ reworked Fatigue

Those not making their way to Madden this year makes sense. If none of them make it to Madden next year, that's beyond wild and illogical to me. They are all core pieces that would truly enhance both games.

The Generic+ would certainly help Madden out with having each generated player receiving a unique face. And, we're at a point in time these days where aging generated faces isn't some ridiculous tall task anymore, so it would be neat to one day see the rookies come in looking young and retiring after a long career with clear aging on their faces. Small detail, but it would make a difference, imo. It does in Out of the Park.

And, if we ever get to a point where we see exported draft classes back, it would be great to see the faces transfer and then age in Madden.

I agree. I can understand them wanting to differentiate the games. But, there are features that should be shared between the games since it would benefit both games. Just like, Boom Tech should find its way to CFb the next game

If I'm not mistaking, didn't one of EA's boxing games have aging in it. As you got older you gained weight, had gray hair and your attributes regressed? I could be making all of this up...

i doubt we will get draft classes back because u would have to pay the 13k players twice
the only hope wouild be u pay all SR 85 and over and all jr 90 and over

Good find! I'm assuming there will be dynamic lighting as the game goes on. The issue is whether or not it will actually work (Looking at you Madden)

Your appearance wouldn’t change, but in Fight Night Round 4 and Champion, your training would become harder and harder as you got older. You’d start with it being semi-challenging as a prospect, then easy in your prime, then more and more difficult to meet the score needed to get the most attribute boost from training as you got older.

I believe it also took into account accumulative damage from fights, so the aging process could happen earlier if you were in tougher fights.

Can confirm that working with baked lighting is a PITA.

Often it's technically necessary for performance reasons (especially on weaker hardware such as... every console generation prior to the current one), but if EA Sports has found a way to move away from it, good on them.
