Now if they made a college basketball game to go with it I honestly would probably just play these 2 games and nothing else

Not to put down what the revamped team has done, cause those guys have kept a PS3 game looking fresh and new until 25 was announced, and then some. I am just ready for a next gen football game that I can get lost in.

With Madden, I knew when issues would arise, or what was broken. I just hope in the long run this game keeps me hyped even after the season is over.

Yes! I have to give them their flowers. What they've been able to do, and are still doing is remarkable. Their work was so great, that EA came and poached a few of their team. Without them, without the guy who created the editors, NCAA Football 14 would have died a slow death. I appreciate them for all that they've done.

But, like you, I'm ready to move on and I'm at peace with that. Can't wait tosee/play this game on the Series X.

Not overhyped. I remember when we all, at one time, just wanted what NCAA 13 and/or 14 had just with next/current gen graphics and the playoff. I also remember that all I wanted was a new college football game, and it could have just teams to edit sort of like Super Mega Baseball. I thought, "There is a crowd that wants a college football game whether it be licensed or not." I would have taken 20-50 random stadium layouts and all that. A lot of us were that desperate, especially me. Now, I have been one excited fan since the knowledge of the new game coming out when it was announced two years ago. And now, it is almost here.

Overhype? I guess?

I've never been in the dislike Madden camp. Sure, there's things that I wish would be different, but I like playing the Madden games.

Around every 10 years or so, EA seems to have a release that knock things out of the park. Maybe just me, but seems like it's on the "4s". 1994, 2004, and 2014 seems like were amazing years.

So, 2024? From everything I've read, from the people who got to go and test it out, etc, I'm cautiously optimistic. And with the announcement Madden is getting Teambuilder, I'm thinking that EA could be knocking both titles out of the park this year.

Of course, I could be wrong. But I also don't the expectations that things "must" be a certain way and short of there being actual ads in the game, I don't see how I would be disappointed.

Re: Are We Overhyping College Football 25

Maybe overhyping, but there's good reason so far, from what I see.

I will say this about the game. At first, when I heard about the return of CFB, I was just curious, had 0% chance of getting the game. Just curious about what EA would do and what would be said about the future game.

Then, came the articles, the videos, the deep dive, etc. My curiosity became small interest. I red a lot of comments on the forum, and kept informed about what was coming, etc.

Now, with a few weeks before launch, I had to take a look at the versions avalaible and the price coming with it. Do I preorder or wait for people in here to review the game.

It's been a long long time I've seen and read so much positive things about a game of football in here, and I know for sure that within 2 years, there will be more people yelling at EA Sports that they are just doing this, not doing that, over people loving the game. ;-)

But for now, people in here a so eager to play CFB that even people like me would kind of been dragged toward getting the game. To me, it kind of refreshing with so much negativity about everything these days.

It's possible. However, as an older guy who loves sports and sports video games and I have tried playing Madden, MLB the Show and even NBA 2k to satisfy my sports gaming wants, I cannot wait for this game just because it's college. And like many of you probably, I have direct ties to a school, I'm an Auburn alum and my family has been season ticket holders for football for over 40 years. I have a connection to Auburn I don't have with any NFL team and certainly no NBA team. Hey EA, can we get a CBB game next? Especially since Bruce Pearl has Auburn in contention every season now. Like EA's slogan for this game, "Every team is someone's favorite team."

The closest pro team I am connected to are the Atlanta Braves. MLB the Show is good, and I've tried using my beloved Braves but it's baseball and takes too much time, time I don't have to play more than the occasional play now game.

Do I expect some glitches? Sure, it's S.O.P. now to release imperfect games now that can be fixed with updates and DLC later. Heck these team/stadium rankings seem off, perhaps on purpose to create more buzz about the game. Buzz it doesn't need IMO.

But there's no doubt I can visualize the moment I boot it up and play as Auburn in Jordan-Hare Stadium the first time and see the eagle fly, hear the fight song, etc. it will be great.

Hell no we aren't over hyping. This is 10 years in the making so there is no reason this game should be bad.

Re: Are We Overhyping College Football 25

Hype is coming from the community and it is because of the 11 year gap between college games. I wouldn't say overhyped. I agree with others that it is excitement.

We are all aware of EA's issues in Madden and there is some caution from several folks as well. But what they've shared so far is exciting. This week we'll get Franchise info that will really kick excitement up to higher levels.

Overhype? Not at all. Setting ourselves up for a disappoint if EA doesn't deliver? Sure. It is possible they "Madden" the game up. But so far what we've seen gives us a lot of hope that won't be the case. And after the large gap between NCAA 14 and College Football 25, I think they know this game better deliver.

My advice, just enjoy the ride till the game arrives. This is very much like the old days here at OS. And I am for sure enjoying it. So hype some more if you want. Excitement is a good thing.
