Re: Coverage Shells ?

That cover 4 scheme is something I've really be interested in running. It's what I may do with my smaller school teams that lack athleticism and speed.

However, with my Miami dynasty, I am ultimately planning on being in a cover 0 or cover 3 shell 99% of the time to always have at least one safety in or around the box. I've been burned doing it in the Madden 25 beta, but being in a cover 0 shell running cover 4 is more fun for me than it probably should be.

I love the idea of the safeties being aggressively up and having an impact in the run game while also having the elite speed and athleticism to not get burned over the top. It's definitely a scheme I'll need athletes to run, but I can't wait to recruit for it and put it in action.

Will the CPU QB Awareness effect if they get fooled or not. Also will the CPU use these shells as well.

How do you know when to use them or is it just when you feel like trying to bait an opponent? What is the disadvantage?

What does one do to utilize a coverage shell? I’m not seeing the controller option.

Two ways to do it. Pre-snap press Y/Triangle and pick one of the shells to show by using the joystick plus buttons like RB to show blitz.

The way I do it is by picking my play in formation view. Once you've selected the formation you want to view plays for, you use the right joystick to toggle between the shells available for that formation.

You can't pick your shell until you've clicked a formation and are look at the list of plays withing it. Just be aware of that.
