If you have an external HDD or SSD, you can make a copy of the game in its current version and put it on that particular drive to play offline just in case future updates nerf gameplay or mess some other things up. The actual gameplay on the field will probably be the best that it will be before the updates start rolling in because outside of that very small update last week, it's a clean install of the game.

I MUST delete this game from my PS5. I simply can’t continue staying up until midnight daily to play this thing and even then not wanting to stop. I can’t be at work counting the hours until I can get back and play some more RtG or bang out a dynasty game to see if that 4-star kid with the proximity to home dealbreaker signs with my 1-star program because we’ve got good pipeline influence with him. Ugh… Calgon…take me away…

I finally crashed and burned last night lol. I tried to play but I couldn't. I think the timer says I have played 1 day and 12 hours worth of the game so far. I think I'm going to take today off and fire back up tomorrow. I say that now, but I'm probably lying to myself!

My biggest impression overall is the game is fun to play. It’s polished and represents real college football. There have been some NCAAF games in the past where it felt more as a chore to play. I’m almost constantly immersed in this game just doing Play Now games. This is a great sign going forward as any cons of the game seem fixable. If the gameplay was trash I wouldn’t have much hope for the future.

One note- I’m on PS5 and I’m surprised at the amount of posts about graphics and frame rate. This game looks and runs great to me.

I'm having a blast! I know the game has its warts, thankfully, I haven't really run into them...yet, but I am just trying out different matchups and teams before I dive into dynasty. I've disciplined myself to not watch any videos on best recruiting practices on YouTube b/c I don't want to "hack" the system to a great class, I just want the full experience when I start my dynasty.

Last night I had a hell of a game with Kennesaw State and Jacksonville State. Outgained JSU in every category and still lost because...turnovers will kill ya. I've played with all different types of playbooks and I've learned what works for me in a number of different approaches. For example, I only look deep when my WR beats press or if I see the safety charge down. Otherwise, I am throwing quick and I do believe the pass rush window is fine, I just think we have become used to letting the routes develop longer in Madden and with the better pass-rush, you need to identify that receiver pretty quick and just fire it in there.

I love the running game. I think you can finally control a game, without cheesing the system, with a ground attack. Both from an option standpoint and from 12 and 21 personnel. This is just based off of my play-style and my success rate, the best offenses for me are going to be running a base flex or a under center "pro style" offense. I think the defensive AI is too good this year for me to throw 40+ times a game. I may put up numbers, but I'm still gonna throw a few INTs putting it up that much.

I know if I said that it'd be a lie. I went home at 2pm yesterday to finish the day remotely because we were having internet issues in the office. I was half hoping we were still having internet issues today. LOL

Re: EA Sports College Football 25 Impressions | PS5, XBOX Series X

After a week of playing the game there is more I have noticed with the gameplay that makes this an amazing game.

For starters the animations are even better than last years Madden (I know they emphasize this feature every year) but it does get better and this game definitely gives me hope for Madden and future games. Sure the gameplay is a bit faster than what I would prefer but it's still really fun.

The Wr/Db interaction is MUCH better than it has been in previous Madden games. They actually fight, or if the Db knocks the ball away it looks legit and not some WWE style tackle like it is every year.

The sideline catches are much improved to. Just a few days ago my CB picked the ball off along the sideline but his top part of his body was leaning over while he was trying to keep his feet inbounds, it looked genuine more than I have seen before.

Again still some negatives just like every game has, I wish I could slow the gameplay a little bit, and I wish there wasn't as many hit stick tackles in the game, most defenders regardless of rating will tear your head off with all the hit sticks

Love the presentation and atmosphere in the game.

Also love the precision passing improvements.

I’m a H2H player and while I get that the college game is a bit more open, I’m kind of getting to the same place I get with Madden where I’m getting frustrated with the secondary. You can only plug so many holes.
