Why are ratings adjustments allowed in Madden? If college adopted a union or whatever, would we then be able to adjust player ratings from your understanding?

Coming back to say as I get further in Dynasty mode, the lack of AI rushing stats to end the season is more and more disappointing.

My worry is the sim engine is so borked up they don't know what to do to fix it. They just slapped Maddens engine on it. Because let's face it, there is no way some dev simmed a season, looked at those rushing stats, and gave the green checkmark for the go ahead. If that did happen, that's a brutal look.

I can live with the wonky top 25 and results. It's my college football world. I'm so in love with the game but the sim stats are starting to irk me to my core already lol

EDIT: Also, in the player card > stats screen, AWARDS don't show anything. Why have the tab if it doesn't work?

And my ROLB won Linebacker of the year but didn't get 1st or 2nd team All-American. Nor did he get 1st or 2nd team All-Conference. Sheesh EA. Killin me smalls

You know sometimes in football u win a game when you have no business winning the game? Just happened.

Came in as PSU into Michigan. I sold out early to stop the run game, was doing well. 3rd and 2 from midfield, and I went run blitz, michigan play action , SCORE.

I return the kickoff for a TD. 7-7.

Stuck with trying to shut down run game. Michigan had 60 plus rushing yards in 1st Q. Early 2nd they went RPO pass, pick 6. 14-7 psu. Michigan came back down had 1st and goal at the 4. 2 no gain runs, and a throw away...field goal michigan. 14-10.

Psu 3 and out. Still trying to key in their run game. They did play action again, sack fumble, inside their 40. 3rd and 12 and I hit a big gain to WR, 1st and goal. Score 21-10.

Now michigan is moving away from the run, and I know michigan receivers are just OK. Interception in side their 20. 3 and out FG. 24-10. End of 3rd.

Michigan has the ball for most of 4th as I play conservative. They could not get a TD. 2 fg, game ends 24-16. Michigan ends with 110 yards rushing only. But they had double the offensive yards compared to PSU. Something like 370 to 190 yards. I could barely move the ball the whole game. Psu eneded up with only 2.6 yards per rush.

It felt so real and the flow was perfect. Amazing product is all I can say.

They have an agreement with the NFLPA which is a union. I do not believe there is such a union for college athletes nor such an agreement. They seem to be on a somewhat individual basis.

Decided to put my positive thoughts about dynasty down in writing here:

(We all know the sim engine stuff needs to be fixed and rankings are weird right now. Plus some bugs need to be ironed out. I won't dive into those things because they have already been discussed enough)

Gameplay is fun, recruiting isn't as easy as people are making it out to be, the transfer portal is a good addition, the playoffs, generated recruits have decent equipment generated for them, coaching skill points matter and you can't just max everything out, player progression/ skill caps/ dev traits make each player feel more unique than guys in old NCAA games ever did.

The new way of calculating prestige using your school grades is a big improvement. No longer can you go from minimum prestige to top prestige in 4 seasons. Plus, the pipelines staying the same based on schools helps prevent small schools from ever being able to recruit at the same level as the top schools.

Building a small school into a power requires much more patience unless you are super skilled or playing on a difficulty where winning games is easy when playing. I've taken a small school and had top 40 or better recruiting classes for 3 or 4 years and still am 5-7 overall points lower than higher prestige schools. You really get excited to land that 3* gem that has star development. Even if you do the recruiting cheese of going after guys that don't have a scholarship offer yet, the big schools still swoop in and steal about 80 percent of them.

Supersim is so much better than 14, so playing as a coordinator you don't feel like the other side of the ball is useless if you sim it. Supersim stats are better than the regular sim engine stats too, so your team won't look out of place in the stats at the end of the season.

Really wish there was the option to play offense at one skill level and defense at another.

very niice. Thank you. This doesn't sound like the clusterf#ck the "masses" are making Dynasty out to be. Intelligently stated. And despite shortcomings, apparently this game has pluses/pros that even the phenomenonal recruiting in NCAA 12-13 doesn't have. Based on this analysis, this mode should be challenging enough for me, when taking over Coastal Carolina, Illinois, or UTEP.

Well stated!
