Re: How Do You Properly Do RPOs?

Also having issues with option plays…is the below info correct (for PS5)?

Quick pass RPO: tap the WR iron quickly for the pass - or do nothing and RB gets it

Deeper pass RPO: tap X repeatedly to delay the decision…then select the WR icon to throw - or stop tapping X and RB gets the ball

Triple Option: do nothing and RB gets it for the “dive” - or hold X to not go to the FB and then get outside with QB/RB

For your Deeper pass RPO scenario, no need to tap X repeatedly. Just press & release X and the QB keeps the ball. You can pass or run with the QB.

Re: How Do You Properly Do RPOs?

I'll turn this into an article today so everyone knows the general rules. I think some peeps are still giving out some sketchy info.

In case I wasn’t clear about what’s in Madden 24, in the skills trainer in that game there’s a section where it has a series of challenges where it tells you on the screen before each one how to do it. For example, in the passing basics the 1st’ll say:
“To throw a bullet pass, hold down the receiver’s button.”

Another tells you:
“To throw a lob pass, tap the receiver’s button.”

That’s the kind of tutorial/skills trainer I’m looking for in CFB25, but can’t find. It’d be very helpful for guys like me that haven’t played a new football game in 11 years, but even for vets as there’s new mechanics in this game that weren’t in previous Madden games.

There is no Skills Trainer like Madden that walks you through everything perfectly. I think doing Challenges in Ultimate Team, straight up practice mode, and doing mini-games are how you need to get certain things down, but there's some stuff that's not really fully explained either way in this game.

Re: EA Sports College Football 25 RPO Explainer Guide

Okay first post was updated with my basic guide so folks understand their options on RPOs and what keywords you should worry about most for RPO playcalls -- they will tell you what your options actually are on RPOs.

Let me know if I left out any keywords as I can't say I've used every playbook so there might be some RPOs I still haven't seen that change the rules a bit.

There's a bunch of GIFs in there as well so maybe that helps.

Re: EA Sports College Football 25 RPO Explainer Guide

At last… a game that has finally put 2K5 and NCAA Football 14 to sleep. I feel like I can finally move on. I’m disappointed that I can’t draft classes to Madden but I will say this, unless Madden really does something special, I now feel no need to even buy it.
