Re: Classic vs. Revamped

Not 100 percent sure but there are visual settings you can tweak to turn things on and off. But it’s either on the main settings underneath reticle speed or in the visual settings. I’ll double check when I get home. Incidentally if anyone is still following this thread after a ton of experimenting I have settled on placement and accuracy small lead and 16 reticle speed. Revamped is fine but the visible reticle and the ability to make some really tough throws ONCE in a while free forming is an advantage. I also figured out with small lead and 16 reticle I can free form and tap to lob and lead a deep pass really nicely. Mostly I just use the left stick just like revamped. But the left trigger is there when it’s time to Freeform. And I’m fine with lob touch and bullet. I only need 3 trajectories. Just figured I’d put that in here since I started the thread. As a non madden guy and someone who just played ncaa 14 for ten years I had a hard time deciding what to use. But I’m good with what I figured out.

Re: Classic vs. Revamped

I just can't get myself to remember that the L-trigger and L-stick can freeform lead passes. After way too many decades of not doing that, I can't get myself to remember in the heat of the moment that this is an option. It's like what they say about QB throwing motions when drafting guys - you can't fix a guy's throwing motion, because under duress, he'll just go back to what he's always done. LOL

So I will try classic I guess, after trying all the others, because I've given up thinking I'll ever remember to freeform a pass, and I've heard that classic brings a QB's rating into a play a bit more.

I got it to be 2nd nature by going into practice, running a play with a streak on the outside and putting the defense in man with no safety help. Then I used LT to try and place the ball where I wanted based off CB leverage.

After doing that enough times I repeated the process with other routes vs different coverages.

It didn't take too long to get in the habit of hitting it whenever I wanted more precision

Yeah same here. Whenever I’m bored but don’t have time for a game I play mini game 7 on 7 or whatever it’s called and do that or practice and run 4 verts but play with free form.
