Re: Special Players' Numbers

Wow, I can't believe I never thought of this. I play as a created school, but I had a DE that broke the record for sacks in a season and for career sacks, #95 is now officially retired for my team. I'll have to think back if anybody else deserves it.

I had a QB once who wore number 4, after I got beat 24-27 against a team I shouldn't of lost to, I switched his number to 25 and said that no team would hold my offense under 25 points ever again. And no team did.

Re: Special Players' Numbers

i only change the numbers of players that i can play at multiple positions...
because i hate to see my wr at cb with #85... it looks ugly...

wr that can play cb and vice versa get single digit
my faster rb get single digit
fast qb get single digit, slow qb get numbers in the teens
fast lbs get numbers from 20-30
te that can play fb get numbers in the 40s
fast de get numbers in the 40-50s

im gonna develop a number for my most dynamic player, im thinking of 1 right now... and im thinking of giving it two cj spiller... hes bout to get 1000 rushing and receiving yds..

the kicker gets like a 90 or somethin cause i dont like wasting good numbers on them.

Re: Special Players' Numbers

For FSU I reserve #9 for a mobile backup quarterback in honor of Xavier Lee, who transferred to UAB in my dynasty because he wasnt getting enough reps behind center and I was using him as a KR and a Nickel/Dime Back. In the event that I don't recruit a mobile QB i'll probably give it to a backup CB who I will use in running situations as the QB.

Re: Special Players' Numbers

I've seen a few people mention changing the gear of incoming recruits. Is this a current gen only thing or can this be done as well on the 360 during a dynasty?

Re: Special Players' Numbers

Good thread.

#11 or 7 is usually given to a stud LB or WR
#1-19 for my WRs

Re: Special Players' Numbers

And I thought I was the only was that was OCD with my player's numbers.
Playing out my Dynasty, I'm going with the numbers the actual players are assigned. For new recruits/created players:

The Superstar RB gets #8. Guys that are waiting in the wings get #'s in the 30's.

Lineman get #'s in the 60's and 70's.

CB's get single digits, Safeties get #'s in the 20's.

Interior D Line -90's. DE's- 40's.

Wideouts can be in the 80's or single digits.

I will never curse a QB with the #7.

LB's get #'s 53-58, but also single digits, or 11, 22, 33, 44..etc...

No one shall ever wear the number 48 at Kansas.
