I really like the game few notes

Good:
-If you're a PS3 owner 60FPS YAY.
-The game runs very smooth and fluid.
-I do not know what level the demo is on but the pass blocking appears to be improved. I was able to stand in the pocket and was given time to throw many times rather than having to constaly drift back to avoid pass rushers in previous EA games.
-The OLINE blocking is much improved on screen passes. I didnt see any olinemen just letting guys run by them.
-The AI QB appears to be very smart. A few times I ran a blitz and he read it right away and went to the open area of the field with his pass.
-It was much more difficult to stop the AI running game. The RBs run with solid vision

The Bad
-This is really the one and only thing im worried about. The AI defenders take HORRIBLE angles pursuing ball carriers in the open field. I was able to take 2 screens up the sidelines for big TDs and A shallow across 50 yards for another TD. Instead of the defenders trying to cut you off by pursuing on an angle I saw theAI defenders getting behind the ball carrier and chasing from behind. Im a little worried about this.
- The gameplay speed is a bit too slow, but nothing terrible. Maybe EA purposely did this to distinguish the speed from Madden being the NFL game is much quicker.
-Too many singular tackles, not enough gang tackling especially in the trenches. This is something EA is going to have to totally revamp.
-The pre game intro, or lack thereof, is a bit of a turnoff considering this is COLLEGE FOOTBALL and a huge part of college football are both teams running out onto the field. But o well.
-The animations appear to be too repititive, particularly when a DB breaks up a pass.

All in all, except for the issue I saw with the bad pursuit angles from the AI defenders I think its a very good game.

I didn't notice any lighting progression from 1st to 4th quarters. Is it because of the 2 min qtrs or is it not in this year?

Honestly if what Adam says is true, that they added 10% new commentary, 5,000 more lines to the existing 50,000 lines, then I doubt you'll do a whole lot better even with no-name guys unless you expect them to re-record the game commentary every single year. As long as they are carrying over commentary from the previous year we all just have to accept that we're going to hear some things again and again and again. I don't think it has anything to do with the current announcing team.

Progressive lighting is not in the game this year.

not in, the lighting system was completely redone on an individual stadium basis(i believe that what Adam said) and the progressive lighting didn't make it in this year

With all due respect.
This excuse is also wearing thin. Did you play last years demo? remember the turnover fest that was?...the same excuse poured out as well...."it's only a demo","you're playing on varsity level"......look how that panned out. The level didn't matter, and sliders sure as HECK didn't matter.

So in saying the "lowest level" is the cause,I have a real hard time believing that....this seems to me that it is simply programmed this way to give folks that "college excitement".

The PS3 version runs well but it doesn't look nearly as good on my tv as the 360 version. I may have to mess with the video settings. But you can definitely tell which console the game is native to.
