Wow...this is absolutely unacceptable. WTH is up with taking features out of the game?!?!?! Especially something thats been in for years. Geez.

Heres my take on the demo. Good for what it is. I'll buy the game still, despite what I just found out about the lighting.

-I think the players are too slow. I got in the open filed with LSU's RB, and it's like he started taking choppy baby steps even when I was holding down turbo
-The up front pass blocking is still too iffy for me.
-The evening lighting looked terrible. Way too washed out and orange-ish

It's def a step in the right direction from 2008. But we cant keep taking steps back.....by the way, does this lighting issue mean there will no longer be moving shadows across stadiums?

What I did not mention was it was on 2 different TV's. That could explain why I feel like the PS3 version looks a little better plus the PS3 is on the better Flat screen. At least the gameplay is on an even playing field as far as I can tell. Peace!!!!!

Yes, there will be NO moving shadows. This is probably the second worst part of the game thus far. The worst? As someone mentioned above, the demos is just Meh.

Did anyone else notice the ball physics look odd? If there is a punt that hits the ground, it just bounces once or twice then just stops dead.

for those that have played both version of the demos, do you find the PS3 demo super glitchy compare to the 360 one. the 360 just seems smoother??

Re: NCAA Football 09 Demo Available: Discuss Here

Played my first game and won 3-0 on a last second field goal. The ice the kicker "mini-game" is cool.

Its a breath of fresh air being able to play this game at 60fps. Animations are nice, the lighting is gorgeous(although no progressive lighting really puts a damper on it), and the player interactions seem better.

But.......
3 things really stood out as sore thumbs to me:

1) Commentary is downright awful. Not sure if its due to the build or not, but it was almost as bad as the radio guy from Madden

2) Turnovers - Not sure again if its the skill level, the build or what, but the cpu threw 3 picks that were head scratchers. He just dropped back and fired the ball right to my guys. I threw one, but it was my mistake of confusing the L1/R1 receiver

3) Atmosphere: The crowd was lifeless. No emotion, nothing. I kicked a game winning FG with 6 seconds left and after the ball sailed thru the uprights, the crowd was so quiet you could've heard a mouse fart.

Just my .02 after 1 game

Funny- we must have played the same game. Those are my exact feelings about the demo too
