What the heck was that? That has to be the worst commercial I have ever seen to advertise a video game.

Ya know, this reminds me of something pretty funny. There was some coffee table book about EA that came out this year (they gave me a copy) and it came with a DVD of commercials. Well, apparently there is a channel in the stuido's lineup that just runs this DVD over and over. It plays in all the break room TVs.

But anyway... I'm always seeing these old EA Sports commericals at work. And they all have the same format. 23 seconds of real (not game) footage of dunks or tackles, or whatever (depending on the game). Then 3 seconds of actual game footage. Then a quick EA Sports: It's in the game branding screen.

I thought it was funny cause we show a ton of in-game footage these days. Ten years ago, we pumped you up with video of Tim Hardaway throwing a silly pass or Deon Sanders taking one to the house... and oh, by the way, here is a quick shot of some 8 bit sprite running.

Video games have come a long way.

it's because they had two black dudes in the commerical right? maybe if they had a coca-cola in their hand it would have been more appealing(lol).

i think the commercial was good and it's obviously targeting the clemson football area where there is such a huge fan-base that EA probably didn't reach yet.. more game play would be great as well but for who it's targeting its alright
