Thanks, no wonder I could not find anything about gameplay specifically, sorry to crowd the thread. Sounds like some better sliders is about where my expectations should lie, not any drastic changes. Thanks for clearing it up, anything additional would be a bonus.

It should. What it addresses is up in the air still.

Yeah, the whole "EA is lazy" cliche actually dates back to him uploading that avatar. We used to work 16 hour non stop days... but ever since that avatar showed up, we spend 30 minutes a day working on the game the other 8-12 hours just staring at his avatar

This isn't flipping burgers as the analogy often is!

Oh.. BTW... Go Bucs!
Hey, if I have an avatar like that guy can I get my custom configs back? Just kidding...

Yes, Go Bucs! And point well taken. HOWEVER... I'm not suggesting that people switch departments.

Everyone has a deadline date, right? And maybe the "shiny helmet people" or the "realistic grass people" (it just sounds nicer than the graphics department) have more people in their department working there than the lowly "custom config" department. I understand this. But then obviously the "custom config" department's deadline date has to be moved back, or the guy in charge of the "custom config" department has to be honest and tell someone when they ask him...

Supervisor: "Do we have custom configs in this year's game?"
Custom Config Guy: "Well, it works for certain controls and not for others."

But then the supervisor can't just say "Ok." He has to ask a followup question as any good supervisor would do.

Super: "What do you mean exactly it works for some controls but not for others?"
CCG:"There's still a problem with getting LT to release the default pitch control and anything set to LT will both pitch the ball and do the new custom command."
Super: ""Sounds broke to me. So you're saying we DON'T have custom configs in this year's game?"
CCG: "I guess not."
Super: "How about you take LT out as an option then so they won't encounter that problem."
CCG: "What? That's the most pleasure I get! Annoying the public when something doesn't work like it should! And imagine the look on that guy's face when he gets into a game online, sees the end zone, hits LT to speed burst into the endzone, and then the guy pitches the ball backwards out of bounds when he has his finger nowhere near his custom config "pitch the ball" button. Lol. Oh, what fun!"

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the conversation went something like that.

But how else do you explain it?

LOL... Are you Hiring? I think I could handle staring at that for 8-12 hours a day.

I will exit the thread now. Omt thanks again for the interaction, I do appreciate any answer and understand you don't have and all the answers after clarification. I was not trying to flame the game as a whole, it has shortcomings as all games do, but all in all I really enjoy it. Its a solid effort in my opinion, and I was only trying to gain insight on ways it could become even better. Thanks for the hard work and forum participation.

No, I don't think it will help the pass rush.

Why? Because as the sliders go right now, they both effect HUM and CPU on the HUM settings correct?

Well...with HUM Break Block at 100 and HUM Pass Block at 0, both the CPU and HUM Offensive lines are like the Berlin Wall.

There is a fundamental "cheat" in pass blocking.

One thing that WOULD help...Get rid of the freaking chop blocks/pancakes EVERY. SINGLE. PLAY. I'm really getting tired of seeing all of my defenders get flipped on their heads each play. And yes...it happens literally every single play.

Also, the Defenders running in quicksand is not going to be helped with sliders. There is a definite speed cheat right now towards the offense.

If you need proof of this, I'll gladly post some videos.

Re: NCAA Football 09 Patch Announcement

Also,

I didn't see this mentioned but fix the "substitution" bug as well.

The bug occurs in that for example...

You have 10 WRs on your team.

You can only set the first 6 on the depth chart.

If any of those 6 get hurt, tired, etc. the computer SHOULD put in the final 4 WRs before anyone else.

It doesn't....it starts putting in defensive backs and safeties instead.

It does the same on defense.

You have 10 DBs on your team.

You can only set the first 6 on the depth chart.

If any of those 6 get hurt, tired, etc. the computer SHOULD put in the final 4 before anyone else.

It doesn't...it starts putting in Wide Receivers.

Fix this please sir.
