That's kinda irrelevant. There's no threshold to opportunity cost.

It took resources. And those are resources that could have been used elsewhere. How many resources? We don't know. But regardless, some other area of the game could have been made better with those resources, so because of season showdown, some other area of the game will be worse than what it could have been. We just won't know by how much.

If you think season showdown is worth that, fine, but a lot of people don't. And I don't think many people are going to find the argument that it wasn't a huge waste of resources to be especially compelling.

At first when I heard about the feature I thought to myself "OMFG this is so dumb" but it has kinda grown on me. I mean im not dying to use it but it definitely seems cool.
