Just lost to a cheeser online

i'm winning 7-6 with 1:32 to play, I've got the ball, 1st down he's got all 3 timeouts. A 1st down ends it. 1st play 9 yds, timeout, 2nd and 1 to ice it.......i get the good ol' strip animation by 2 players for the 6th, yes SIXTH, time in the game because of the lame AGGRESSIVE gameplanning.
I had 4 shots in the 2nd half to put it away and got stripped everytime.
During this game, this schmuck didn't punt. Did not punt and all he had to show was 6 pts. Actually converted a 4th and 31 from his OWN 16yd line on the first drive of the 2nd half. He luckily converted that one but he was 2 for 9 on 4th downs for the game, I should've realistically put him away if he's playing girly like that but I can't because of the arcade features that EA equips these cheezers with like the aggressive strip. 6 strips, 1 facemask penalty. I don't think so.

I still suck, I'm not as good as I used to be during the ps2 days but this just really pisses me off.

Why can't EA set up different lobbies? i LITERALLY CAN NOT get a good football game online from a stranger

Re: Just lost to a cheeser online

I set my rb to protect ball as soon as I see the strip animation, I can't remember being stripped online, I do fumble from time to time because of big hits but rarely if ever from bein stripped . Did u set yours to aggressive, normal,or conservative? Once the game was iced, take a knee, no fumble risk there..... no huddle and u held him to 13/9 points, nice defense

Set big run to conservative and press protect the ball button when you're about to get tackled. Problem solved.

I played about 200 games online and was stripped maybe 6 times total. Conservative doesn't help against big hit, you can still fumble if you get cracked, but at least it renders strip ball useless.

As others have said, set your running to conservative and you will not be stripped.

If you don't want him to call no huddles, mash your "A" button (xbox) after a play and the vast majority of the time, you'll prevent his no huddle.

Bingo.

If you are good in the open field with ball carriers, set it to conservative. Rarely will you be stripped.

Re: Just lost to a cheeser online

I tried playing a random online game for the first time in years and it just reminded me of why I stick to offline. Guy was a decent player but never punted. After going for it on 4th and 16 from his own 30 and failing he quit in the 3rd quarter. The game was tied 14-14! I'm not a great offensive player but I like to think I'm good on defense. I called good enough defensive plays to keep him from running the same crap and he must have been frustrated. Annoying.

Re: Just lost to a cheeser online

i have started playing more random games as of late. most of the time i get guys that only roll out and chuck it on offense, then run commit every play on defense. easy enough to handle.

i did however play someone the other night who chose to use Fresno State, so i chose Stanford and we had a very straight game. it was fun. i've never seen anybody in a random game choose a team not in the top 25.
