Online ranked games don't count if the other person quits? WTF?

I'm not sure how many people play online ranked matches, but they have almost completely destroyed any reason to play a ranked match. The past few years there was the option to continue the game if you're opponent quit, but this year?

IF THE OTHER PERSON QUITS, YOU CANNOT GET A WIN.

That's right, up 28-0 in the 2nd and the other person quits? No win for you.
That's right, kick a field goal with 30 seconds left to put you up 24-14 and the other guy quits? No win for you.

So if your opponent quits, you do not get the win. As if cheesers and what not were not bad enough last year (not EAs fault, and I actually like playing and beating them, but losing to them is frustrating) now all a person has to do is pull the plug. Sure, they still get a loss, but they have the satisfaction of knowing you will not get a win.

Posted in the bugs thread, please get this fixed EA or the online ranked portion of your community is going to be relatively non existent this year.

yeah it's been happening since day one......I was one of the ones really mad about it. But now I only play people with a below 5% DNF, and I've had very enjoyable games (I haven't played a single cheeser in 15 games).

so maybe, just maybe....this might be a good thing!!

It is actually normal. I believe the game must get to the 3rd quarter for it to count. EA does this so people do not cheat by having their friend(probably with a those free 1 month xbox live accounts) intentionally quit to get the easy W.

nope, someone can quit with one second left in the 4th quarter, and other team will NOT get a win!

Only way to win when someone quits is if the concede defeat!

Really? I've had guys quit, I selected quit and count game, and I got the W when I next checked. Are you 100% sure about this?

I'm almost positive that after halftime if the guy quits, and you choose to quit and count game, then you get the W. But, if he quits in the first half then you don't get the win, I've had a bunch of people do this to me.

I've had people quit and I got the option to count the game. I've also had people intentionally get disconnected and I didn't get the option to count it.
