Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress

Im doing a dynasty with the Idaho Vandals trying to build them to become the best team in Idaho . A lot of highs and a lot of lows but one thing i love about NCAA 11 is that every win is earned and every loss is personal. Currently 3-2 going into week 8 playing on All American Sliders and Varsity Recruiting.

Week 1
35-15 W FCS West
The computer was running all over me but eventually my d took over.

Week 2
42-10 L Wisconsin #8
I was able to hang with them in the first quarter but then the speed was too much the cpu was just man handling me.

Week 3
49-42(OT) W UNLV
This was the game that made me truly appreciate NCAA 11. In the 4th quarter we were trading TD's till time expired. I won the coin toss and held them to a FG then scored a TD when we had possession.

Week 4
56-27 L Michigan
This game hurt me the most. We went into half winning 24-7 then Michigan just put up 49 points out of nowhere. That was a depressing game.

Week 7
48-42 W Louisiana Tech
Exciting Game a lot of offense 602 from me 550 from CPU. Won the game in the final seconds with a rushing TD.

I've never enjoyed dynasty so much in my life. I have to earn every win and it feels great! Will keep you guys updated on my progress Im really feeling a second straight bowl birth for the Vandals.

Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress

I started up my OSU dynasty and had the best opening week recruiting I've ever had, 6 instant commits!

5* DT
4* DE
4* DT
4* QB
4* OLB
4* OG

But I'm playing the first game against Marshall... up 31-0 as a speak right before the half, they run a fake punt pass from their own endzone when I'm going for a block... touchdown Marshall. Holy ****, I can't believe that just happened.

Edit: Won the game 59-10.

I think I'm about to just start an offline dynasty with an already existing school...I wanted to replace an entire conference with FCS schools, but finding/creatiing accurate teams is such a hassle and very time consuming.

Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress

My Canes Dynasty

Game 1: Was the season opener against little Florida A&M and of course we blew them out of the water, dropped 72 on them. Over 200 yds on the ground even the back ups got in there and did major damage through the air and ground.

Game 2: Our first true test of the season, Ohio State. It was a classic game that was close the whole way but in the end they outlasted us, shutting us down in the red zone. This is where SN's sliders really shine. They had an all american on the dline and in the lb corp and they made their presence felt. There was no running up the middle, they shut down the short passing game, it felt like I had to truly structure every play around them because if not they would blow it up.

Game 3: Pitt - Rebound game, the pace was pretty steady back and forth game but we never felt like the game as in jeopardy. Controlled the line of scrimmage and the running game shined.

Game 4: Clemson - This was the most heartbreaking loss of the season. We jumped up to a 14 point lead in our conference opener at Clemson. Then the turnover bug reared its ugly head as it did in the Ohio St. game, an INT and fumble later and were tied. We put some points on the board but somehow found ourselves tied at the end of regulation. This is where this game earned its stripes with me. This was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in a football game, and that includes Madden. We were awarded the ball first and handled business with a TD but Clemson answered right back with a TD of their own. Clemson sputters but their D comes up big and stops us. They manage to get a field goal. The ball is returned and were moving closer to the gl. Its third down and Jacory breaks a scramble and gets the first down but loses the ball from a strip from behind, Clemson recovers... game over... in triple OT...

Game 5: Florida St - This was a hard fought game but our D came up big and kept Ponder in check. It felt good to hand Florida State their first loss of the season, cant stand those guy.

Game 6: Duke - Always presents a bit of a challenge due to the no huddle but we handled them relatively easy. Here is the emergence of Graig Cooper putting up 175 yds and a couple of TD's

Game 7: UNC - This was the surprise of the the season. This team is deceptively stout. They have an all american on the Dline, the LB corp., and a safety who covers and hits like a beast. They made the running game hard to live by but their weakness in the secondary led to their downfall as Jacory took the game into his hands late in the third and put them behind. From this point they were forced to pass and we keyed in on it.

Game 8: Virginia - No resistance what so ever, by the second half the starters were out and the young guys got some much needed reps.

Game 9: Maryland - The Terps Qb was coming off a POTW performance but we mustve missed that in the papers. Our stand out All American DE Bailey got to the him 3 times, and our Sr CB Van Dyk showed him how the pick 6 was done.

Game 10: GT - For some reason in every dynasty ive played in, whenever I play GT they are always ranked highly but they never live up to their rank. We shut down Nesbitt and the triple option, no problem and they didn't have receivers strong enough to combat our physical secondary.

Game 11: VT - The Canes are cruising and are looking to take the lead in the ACC, that is until Jacory takes a brutal hit on the second play of the game is and is out with a bruised shoulder. This injury took the air right out of the team and Highsmith wasn't ready to be brought in to such a high stakes game. Without the passing game to balance our the offense and keep the D honest, they keyed in on Cooper and made the Canes one dimensional and put us out easily handing us our third loss of the season and essentially taking us out of contention for the Conference championship.

Game 12: USF - Ending the regular season on a high note we beat the bulls pretty badly at home but still disappointed with the way the season ended, feeling as if we left a lot on the table.

Chic-fil-a Bowl vs UF - Florida came in unranked at 7-5 but we didn't overlook them and rightly so, theyre defense was stout and Bartley moved the ball well with the spread. In the end the same problem that we've had all year, was just as prevalent as ever, we couldn't move the ball and score in the red zone vs premier teams, we lost the game and finished the year 9-4

Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress

In Week 4 of my SDSU dynasty. All-American difficulty w/ default sliders, 5 min quarters.

Season 1

Record: 3-0 (0-0)
Week 1: vs. FCS East W 73-6
Week 2: at New Mexico St. W 28-0
Week 3: at Missouri W 13-10

The Missouri game was a bit of a nail biter. It was raining, so yardage was down, but surprisingly turnovers were not up (only 1, an INT thrown by Missouri). I went up 10-0 in the first quarter after an interception gave me the ball at their 25. We traded 3 and outs for most of the second quarter until Missouri was able to get a field goal before the half to make it 10-3. The third quarter was a defensive struggle, with a few first downs by both teams sprinkled in. I played some Tressel-ball, winning the field position battle and pushed my lead up to 13-3 after a 42yd FG. Missouri finally broke through and scored a touchdown with about 1:05 to play in the 4th to close to 13-10. A failed onside kick ensued, and 2 kneels later, we were celebrating the biggest upset of the season so far.

Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress

I just upset TCU with SDSU thanks to some atrocious clock management by the cpu. I had the ball with a 17-14 lead and ran the clock down and punted to them and they ended up with the ball at their 20 with 33 seconds left and no timeouts. I come out in quarters expecting a pass since they need to go at least 55 yards in less than 33 seconds to get in field goal range and they have no timeouts, well first play they hand it off and fumble and I scoop it up and score a TD. I kick back to them and they run it again and then the clock runs out

Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress

I chose Cincinnati. I was afraid I was going to dominate, but it's been a really strange season - and surely I haven't been dominating!

I got beat by Fresno State in the opener, knocking Cinci pretty decisively out of the Top 25. Then got beat by North Carolina State. Then came back to beat #14 Oklahoma who had creeped up there. Then got steamrolled by West Virginia. Lost Collaros for the season...and let me tell you, running a Spread Offense like Cincinnati with a crappy Sophomore quarterback is difficult.

Somehow in the Big East, Rutgers creeped up to #3 in the National Poll. Rutgers. Who the heck thought that would happen. Crushing Rutgers was enough to put us back into #23.

Recruiting on the other hand is...interesting. Heisman difficulty...managed to have the #29 recruiting class so far. 1 4* instant commit...a QB. Should be decent. Then lots of 3* guys. Not even close to any 5*'s. Hopefully I'll get some decent recruits and make a good run before I get fired for not winning the Big East. Seriously, Rutgers making a national championship run?
