Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress

Yesterday I started my * star dynasty with North Texas.

I must say I have been having a very fun/ challenging time so far. I have no interest in trying recruiting so I have recruiting skill level at Freshmen while gameplay difficulty is at All American with SNs Sliders with a few adjustiments to User QB Accuracy settings to about 35.

I did some some custom scheduling before the season started and tried to boost up my strength of schedule by playing #2 Ohio State Week 1 and #5 Bosie State and Baylor for my first three games and playing #16 Georgia Tech near the end of the season.

As for the games themselves it has been very challenging. Heres a bit of a recap of the games so far...Sorry no specific states since I'm not on the 360 atm.

Ohio State...This one was very tough. Saine ran all over me for 175 Yards and 1 TD. Pryor broke off a 40+ yard run on a option after breaking 3 tackles. It was actually a very defense game given the stats. I was able to pick off Pryor 3 times two of the ints were in my own endzone. My huge break was after Ohio State scored a touchdown on a long drive I luckly was able to return the following kickoff for a touchdown with Dunham(SP?) in the 3rd Qtr. After that it was a game of try not to screw myself but my RB's kept fumbling and giving Ohio State life. The game ended up being 24 to 21 in favor of me...It was glorious since Pryor stole my heismen my first year in RTG with my QB from Oklahoma State who threw for 4,500+ yrds 52 TDs and rushed for 1,683 yrds 32 touchdowns..I did a lot of changing the plays (CPU called too many draws on 3rd and long)

Boise State... Who jumped to #2 when I played them. By far the most entertaining game I've ever played. From the start it was a very offenseive game. Making some lucky throws and big plays. Was able to generate some pressure from having good coverage. The game went into triple overtime and they missed the field goal and I was able to convert some 3rd downs and was able to kick and make a 25 yard FG. Score 30-33 me.

Baylor... This one was also fun. I jumped to a 14 point lead before the half. But Baylor fought back to make it interesting and suddenly it was 10 to 14. Baylor had a lot of success through the air till Griffen got injured but the backup was still someone servicable. Game got close but not too close 21 to 13.

Thats a lil recap of some of the games so far. Currently on week 6 and i only have 2 recruits commited right now. 1 * safety and 1 ** safety but gaining some interest from a few 3 stars. I have been letting the CPU do all of the recruiting while I just pick out a couple prospects I would like on the team.

1-1 with Middle Tennessee. Lost the opener to Minnesota. Beat up Tulane 38-13. It was 7-0 at halftime. My defense stepped it up causing 5 turnovers with 2 resulting in touchdowns for me. Still only have 1 committed recruit, a 2* WR who is 6-5. Can't wait to see how he turns out next season for me. Having a lot of fun, it's a struggle, but still fun.

I am looking forward to starting another dynasty with my alma mater shortly, maybe this weekend if I can get all the players edited, their sleeves and arm bands are either red or green, school colors are purple.

In the link above is my Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles Dynasty. Currently we are 3-2 with wins against Purdue, Kansas, and Lousiana Tech and losses to South Carolina and Marshall. In the second game of the season, we lost Tracy Lampley, our true Sophomore starting running back for 10 weeks, and in the last game I lost my starting QB Austin Davis for the year with a broken shoulder. So pretty much I'm banking on my defense stepping up and they have been so far, granted I've been playing some weak offensive lines in Kansas and Louisiana Tech, but the C-USA isn't that great of a conference so I should continue to get good pressure on other teams.

Our star and one of the main reasons I picked this team DeAndre Brown leads the NCAA in receiving yards with 742 in 5 games. He has great speed, size, and he never drops a ball, it's great. He's not in the Heisman race yet though .

You guys should check out the think, it's a good read

We had 7 recruits in town to watch us absolutely destroy UAB 33-7, so I got that achievement and probably a lot of soft commits haha. I'm 5-3 on the season and 2-2 in conference play. My starting RB Tracy Lampley is only going to miss 3 more weeks with his torn pectoral

Just got a 3 star commit, a lot of my other recruits are coming next week against Houston, while I have to play UCF this week, my 2 toughest C-USA games in a row, fun.

How is your season going so far? I have zero 3*'s interested in me right now. Hopefully I can string some wins together and put together a winning season.

Might be starting up my Winona State dynasty tonight. Trying to find the motivation to go fire up the xbox. Have to tweak the stadium yet so I don't have a stadium with a lot of logos.

This dynasty stuff is intense, I hope I can get hooked on a team for a few years.

Right now I am 4-0 with Florida State year 1. I had some pretty tough games against some pretty good competition. I have to travel to rival Virginia and
Miami. I am not looking forward to the Miami game and this can cost me the
National Title. But I still have to play North Carolina at home later in the
season so this can be a potential loss. And of course the mighty Gators at
home later in the season.

Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress

I'm in my 2nd year with Louisville (randomly chosen). I finished year one with an 11-2 record and won the Big East on a tie-breaker. My two losses were against Oregon State (49-14) and Rutgers (13-7). I miraculously won the Fiesta Bowl over #5 Oklahoma by overcoming a 13 point deficit in the fourth quarter thanks to huge turnovers by the Sooners. I nailed a field goal as time expired to take the game. My recruiting was really poor the first year as I had the 90th ranked class and a ton of 3-star recruits that won't scare anyone.

So far in year two I'm 8-0 and have already signed six 4-star recruits to put me in the top 20 for recruiting classes so far. I have a big game versus #5 Pitt coming up this week. Despite having inferior players I've managed to keep the CPU off balance on both sides of the ball, especially by using my depth at HB and skill at WR.

I'm playing on All-American and am using 8 minute quarters.

By the way, I have had five or six games so far in the dynasty that I have won by a touchdown or less. Four have been won on the final possession of the game, three of those on last second field goals. So needless to say, I've been a bit lucky. Winning that much with Louisville might seem unrealistic, but a lot of these games could have gone either way. I'm not blowing people out unless they are duds on the schedule. I suppose this is how programs build anyways, by winning the close games and improving their push in the recruiting world.

Anyone else using Louisville or any Big East schools? How are the Cardinals doing in your dynasty?
