agreed. This is one of my favorite games all time.

Re: EA speaks!

While I personally see dynasty as broken enough that I've halted my offline dynasty until they fix it, I hope that they don't rush the patch. With any programming fix, there are always other collateral that will be affected and they need to be thoroughly tested. Also, I think that this is the last free patch that EA gets for this game, so I hope they put as much into it as they can as it's unlikely that there'll be a 3rd patch (but possible, of course).

I don't mind waiting to get a good quality 2nd patch.

Re: EA speaks!

I don't think EA uses these community days properly. They need to grab community members for specific things. Find the guy that's nuts about simming and recruiting and bring him in. Don't even let him play the game - just have him sim and recruit. That way these progression issues can be found ahead of time.

Too many community day members are regular gamers that aren't going to notice some specific stuff after one day of playing. They should be bringing in guys specifically for some areas. ie progression and sim stat guy, online cheeser guy to see if he can break the game head to head, super heisman guy who can beat the cpu easily, slider guy to test every freaking slider including the default leg strength and accuracy of kickers, etc.

There is no point in bringing in 5-10 guys who are all good players looking and doing the same things. If you ask, how well did the sliders work? None can answer because they didn't mess with them much. They need guys in there that will scrutinize specific things or you don't get that much out of the meetings imo.

Re: EA speaks!

I remember laughing when David Wong said in his prophetic video game article, that he'd send Microsoft a box full of his own **** the first time a game had a patch.

Well, look at us now. They'd have an awful lot of **** on their hands if he actually did that.

So I guess I can't wait for the patch, since I have no choice anyway.

Exactly. For so many of us, one of the first things we ask people to do is sim seasons and take a look at stats, etc. Heck, it would only take a few hours to see these anomalies in future seasons.

And with that said, best NCAA in YEARS and maybe my favorite of all-time, depending on how the dynasty stuff works out. I thought I was getting bored with football games, but this one has me truly excited to play it for the first time since about '04.

TRUE DAT!

It seems no one ever goes through Dyansty mode and looks for the stuff we all find in a matter of minutes once the game drops.

Someone in the media or the OS staff that gets to go to the media events needs to ask the right questions and check for the right things.

Seems like the Dynasty/Franchise people are always left to find everything out for themselves.

You must not have visited here in a while...

Basically, recruits come in with too low awareness ratings and play dumb on the field, CPU teams do a poor job at recruiting so their team ratings dwindle to the point they lose to FCS teams. Powerhouses no longer become powerhouses and cupcakes replace them, etc..
