I am definitely entertaining a 16 team North, South, West, and East setup as mentioned above. Sounded like a great idea!

I also really like the European soccer league style tournament setup with promotions and such. I would not mind switching every year.

Hell in my 2011 dynasty Florida is randomly dropping itself to the bottom of the conference in year one of the dynasty so it would be funny to drop them to the Sun Belt for a year as punishment for failing so hard.

Re: So now that Custom Conferences are in what changes will you make?

At first read, I liked the sound of this, but then so much kills it. Let's say you have the Big 12, which has 10 teams, and still has divisions. Will it allow me to kill divisions if I want? I love the sound of reforming the southwest, but in the Big 12, it won't have 12 teams, and it sure won't have divisions, but the game might force me.

And then I don't like that you can't kill conferences. I can understand from a bowl tie-in point of view. It's going to be a mess any way if someone cuts the WAC down to 4, which still gets 3 or 4 tie-ins minimum and has a super powered Pac 16, which only gets 8 bowl bids. It's like the Big East and the NCAA tournament. You have to take bids away from someone if you are going to hand out double digits to a single conference.

Love the idea, but there are going to be so many flaws in it, it will probably wind up a mess unless you just do minor tweaks.

I thought it said you could change bowl tie-ins, or did I hear it wrong?

But I also read you can change the bowl game requirements. Eh, won't be perfect, but maybe this will get them working on making it better. I can just see lots of little things causing issues, but maybe we'll get lucky. Changing the bowl tie-ins means I can change the ridiculous amount of repetitive Big 10 vs. SEC bowl matchups that the Big 10 always seems to lose.

Personally, as a fan I would find more Big-10 versus Pac-12 match-ups to be pretty awesome if you wanted any suggestions

I was really hoping for a Stanford versus Wisconsin Rose Bowl last year, but those pesky non-AQ's having to be good and all...

Like it.

Will also go back to the original Big 8, and drop Penn State from the Big 10 and put them into the Big East with BC, SYracuse, Temple, Pitt, Rutgers, UConn, Marshall, WVU, Cinn.

Can you make conference teams independents? If so, Miami goes indy...

Re: So now that Custom Conferences are in what changes will you make?

Once TCU joins the Big East in 2012, and including Notre Dame, there will be 68 teams in the 6 BCS conferences.
4 16-team super conferences includes 64 teams. Instead of doing this method, and having to "cut" 4 teams, I think I'll add 2 teams (maybe BYU and Boise State) to get to 70 teams total. I'll split the teams geographically into 5 conferences with 14 teams each. Each conference will have 2 divisions of 7 and play a championship game. The winner of each conference gets an auto-bid to a BCS game with the other 3 BCS spots filled at-large.
