Re: Roster Edits for better Game Play Guide

PS3 edited rosters update:

The Big 10 and the Pac 12 have been completed and Purplepower_NC has completed 3 teams in the ACC. I will probably get 3 teams done in the SEC before the end of the night depending on how I feel. Please note that every player on each roster has been edited in some way or another according to Playmakers/Skillz philosophy, starters, backups as well as frosh players.

Some attribute edits were not implemented due to time constraints, a joint decision made by the both of us, but as Purple has stated over 95% of the edit suggestions made by Skillz have been implemented.

Team playmakers and all-americans are receiving special attention in order to allow those players to shine. Top draft prospects like Matt Kalil LT of USC and guys having monster years on the field, like LSU's Tyrann Mathieu will receive extra attention, even though they are not listed as playmakers or all-americans. We are willing to take suggestions from the community about which non playmaker/slash all american in the game should be rated as such. All we ask is that you state your reasons why using seasons stats and draft potential as proof. I don't care about your favorite team, I don't even care about mine. We just want the best guys to get the best ratings.

One last thing. Don't ask when the roster will be ready, because we don't know. Don't ask for an early upload...you won't get it. Anymore PMs with this frame of questioning will be ignored.

Thank you for your patience and one again thanks to Playmakers and Skillz and Purplepower for sharing their knowledge.

Pass Blocking is the weakest in this game, most instasheds happen in pass blocking.

FMV/PMV instashed animations look the same, infact after playing several different games the same two animation are all I saw to beat blocking with.

Even with FMV at 99 BSH at 99 and AGI 99 ACC 99 most DE still don't use spin moves

So to work around this I have been working on new sliders to work to improve with both rerated rosters and hopefully provide more animations.

I start out with dropping RBS/RBF/PBS/PBF by 20 for all lineman.
THIS is for both COA/CPU

QBA 75 - QB are either on target or off

PBLk 75 - With PBS/PBF dropped by 20 this helps even out animations and provides those defense players with good skill set to be O-Line.

WRC 25 - This adjacent the QBA will provide the drops needed to keep qb accuracy true.

RBA 25/50 - A Rb with a good skill set will beat tackles break tackles and run for good yardage others will just do ok.

RBLK 25/50 - This should never pass 50 line man become overpowering even with dropped ratings including WR TE

PCOV 50/75/100 - your choice I usualy leave it at 100

PRSH 25 - Because O-Line is dropped only the elite will beat blocking scrubs will stay put

INT 50 - default seems to work good

RDEF 50/75 - Must be 25 higher than the RBLK which brings out the best on both sides.

TAK 50/75 - Bruisers will bring the wood, others will take out your legs, but backs will still do their job if they are better. Must stay 25 higher from RBA to keep running realistic and reduce RB's from trucking Heaver Players.

Special teams is a user preferance IMO.

Thess are ALL American,
Coach mode only,
Quarter Length - your choice
Game Speed - Slow
Threshold - 0

I have not tried this on Heisman or doing a HUMvsCOM yet. I will get to that sometime this week.

Playmaker - it seem that reversing the RBA and TAK slider is getting bruiser back to lower their head more and Balance backs to use more versitile skill set. My problem is with Speed backs they tend to do neither but beat the Dfense with speed. I am also seeing that each slider plays out better when it is seperated by 25 or 50 while less than 25 has litle affect on the outcome of the change. If you or SKill get a chance can you confirm if my suspicions are true or more of a plecebo affect.

By the way thanks Skill/Playmaker for bringing out the attention of roster edits for a better game.
checkout my sliders from NCAA 11 you'll see those settings that mentioned in 25/50/75/100 value is very close to what your experiencing

I'm surprised skillz didn't post this link in his thread....

http://www.operationsports.com/JohnD...nd-playmakers/

This also will help to give you guys some good insight into the ratings and what we think EA should do in the future to make these games more realistic out of the box
