Again, glad you guys are enjoying the game.
Have you tried it yourself? I honestly don't see how you can deny the passing is very different with LT/L2 if you have tried it out...

I'm happy that you guys believe you are seeing a difference. As long as you are enjoying your game that is all that matters.
I tried it out this morning in practice and I saw no difference at all. I then came here and saw this post where EA says it does nothing which confirms what I personally saw.

I think it's just a placebo effect for those that claim it works. It's similar to sliding the line left/right on running plays. Some people swear by it, but it's pretty obvious (to me that it does nothing). In practice you can use it on a passing play and see the entire line shift left/right, but on running plays they do nothing but their normal blocks.

Go try it out. It's been in on NCAA and Madden for the last two years. I played probably 3 seasons not using it on last years game, then heard about it, and it's noticeably different. I don't care if EA said it doesn't do anything. They may not have planned for it to, but holding it does something.

That said, they took it out of Madden this year.

Im not speaking for bumble but wanted to address your questions as to my opinion.

1. The video "evidence" you mention in my opinion can and is seen with or without pressing L2/LT while passing.

2. You ask about the people seeing the difference, I would turn that around and ask what about all the people not seeing the difference? I am of the latter and personally can see no difference whatsoever in practice or game situations.

This is very entertaining to say the least as to this debate.

Guys, as I stated earlier in the thread, I spent 3 hours last night attempting to see something. I tried different difficulty levels, different sliders, different speed thresholds, all had the same result---there is no difference.

I was like the Fox Mulder of NCAA 12 last night--I wanted to believe.

At the size of their code base...I wouldn't be surprised at all if they had no idea this was in there(assuming it is since I think I see a difference). I can write a program that's just a few hundred lines and forget about a few lines that affect what I did when I wrote the code a few weeks ago. Now think about the fact that they probably have millions of lines of code and this code probably originated a few years ago. It is very possible a community involvement guy has no idea it is there and probably most developers wouldn't know its there unless they specifically sort through the code and trace it.

Yeah sorry I read your earlier post after this so indeed you did try it out

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree!

This. I'd have no problem accepting the EA guy's input if it were a developer or something but the fact that its a community manager saying this means I can't take his word as law and deny what so many other people are saying.
