i think OS probably has a handful of guys who can do a better job than EA's hired game testers if they even have any.....

reality is we are probably their game testers for free.....they waite for us to report flaws after the game is sold and then make patches based on our complaints

That's a pretty pathetic tactic but hey it's working because every year we get the game and report back to them what needs fixed..

The casual gamer doesn't care if they can score 75 points per game just off of vertical plays alone that is what they love......and EA caters to that group 1st

They don't care that RB's run right into the crowd of defenders instead of away from them....they don't care that QB's can't read defenses or execute option plays correctly because of poor AI awareness.

I mean they have a product that you can see is very close to being great if it only had a brain (CPU AI)

The DL falls down because you're trying to do a power move before you've even engaged anyone on the OL.

I'm not in love with NCAA. I love football and unfortunitly there is no other gaming option for college, so I love playing NCAA because I love football. NCAA is like being stranded on a deserted island with a one legged, no toothed, bald woman......you got no choice.

They cater to this blindly loyal group for no reason. If EA attempted to make the game more realistic this group would STILL buy the game. What else would they play? Personally I cringe every time I see a post complaining about uniforms, dreads, arm bands, how the players look, etc. The graphics ARE FINE!! The game play is what needs to be polished. Defenses need to align to the offenses formations on their own. In zone the nickel back should probably not align to the short side of the field when the offense has 2 receivers to the wide side. If I call 46, the 2 linebackers should probably go to the tight end side if the offense is in 21 personnel. Tendencies need to be incorporated for play calling. This would help the CPU call plays a little more realistically. I fully recognize that many of things could be impossible to do because of programming, lack of development time, or just EA sees no need. But saying the blindly loyal first day buyers would stop buying this game if EA tried to polish game play is not a valid reason to me.

To alter the business model and properly test the game would simply eat into profits.

Also factor in the fact that we are 2.5 months post release and EA doesn't even know how to fix it.... so had they found all these issues out earlier it would have done no good and possibly harmed sales if it leaked that the game's new features don't really work.
QFT. It is sad but so true. Remember pre-release the official EA line in the weeks of hype was "we aren't allowed to discuss teambuilder yet" and then we get to release and we can see why they "weren't allowed" because nothing had been done at all with teambuilder.

EA was being disigenuous at best.

EA is unwilling or unable to fix the game and the result for the consumer is the same.
