I take that excerpt to mean the program has a better chance of being picked for a BCS bowl due to the school's "name" power. Like how Michigan is more likely to be selected than Mizzou based on national popularity.

UT, down 7 late, lines up for a FG and we have a guy come scott free off the edge who lays out to block it, but Palardy kicked the ball so bad it went under the guy who was in perfect position to block it...the ball didnt get 2 feet off the ground and hit some offensive lineman in the back..but our blocker slid into the kicker so it was a penalty..UT scored a TD on the next play..just fluky stuff like that... not to mention the ref blew his whistle on the overtime TD (yes I know Gordon's knee did not hit the ground - but once the whistle blows, inadvertent or not, the play is dead). It happens in football. But we beat Ole Miss by 23, UK by 30, had chances on the last play of the game to beat UGA and put the Arkansas game to OT, lost by 5 at Florida, beat Wake Forest by 34..and like I said before, we have everybody back..and they will be better players than they were last year... 2nd year of the offensive and defensive system. Oh, we will be Northwestern by double digits. Go ahead and book that.
Vandy had a chance to win late IIRC but opted to throw a INT instead. Threw another one in OT as well. It's funny how Vandy fans call foul play on a call the refs actually got right. A play, even if was called down, wouldn't have mattered as UT would only have just had to kick a short FG. I guarantee Tennessee will beat beat Vandy this year. Last year UT was beat up pretty bad by injuries (#1 WR out for season, broken thumb QB, #1 S out for the year, #1 LB out for the season). Vandy caught a banged up Vols team just coming off a brutal schedule where they played the 5 best SEC teams consecutively(all top 15 teams) with a freshman QB. I don't see how you can say Vandy was the better team when all their players were hurt (2nd string still pulled out a win). The Vols will have depth this year for the first time since Fulmer. Best case scenario for Vandy will be starting 2-5. Although I highly doubt they beat NU.

Recruiting. As I said, AU recruits at an elite level under Chiz so in that regard, the rating is fine.

If you don't like the rating, that's your prerogative. But regarding it's major functionality in the GAME, recruiting, it's very plausible.

Auburn has a NC and a boatload of 4 and 5 star talent on the depth chart (all underclassmen it seems as well). I don't see the reason for the hate.

UF has been mediocre to bad the last 3 years.

Ohio State isn't exactly in tip top shape right now BTW.
LOL OSU is in better shape that Auburn. And Boise doesn't recruit *4-5 talent so though I know that's what it's meant to do they did a bad job of it.

There was no guarantee Palardy would have hit the FG on UT's possession (see my earlier thread on the blocked FG that was the same distance as an extra point). Anyway, we agree to disagree. I think UT is going to have an OK year. I predict them to go 7-5 overall. That's why they play the games.

Really?

Auburn is one year removed from a NC.

Ohio State is about to go through a season on probation with no Bowl.

To be honest, Auburn got as lucky as can be that Cam Newton was basically kicked out of Florida. Otherwise, I don't think they would be a 6 star school.

6 star or not, AU would still beat Florida on the football field every year.

LOL...I'm bowing out of the imminent flamewar that I can feel coming.
