i disagree, the market is there, the current product in the market is bad, there's plenty of opportunity. that doesn't mean the resultant product will be any good, (see the 80s-90s NFL games like QB Club, Blitz, Play Action, John Elway, etc)

NothIng like good old fashioned greed.

This is a bs law suit, and stems directly from the wussification of America.

The whole thing stinks.

i'd say if anything, anti-competitive practices are wussifying, it means you don't want to compete. rather than try to beat someone you just want to buy your victory

Re: Future of NCAA Football

Why? because EA negotiated exclusivity on it? I mean come on...

EA better keep making the game...for real.

Re: Future of NCAA Football

If EA hits a home run with '14, couldn't they theoretically move forward with the game the way it is, no longer using the license but keeping what is already in the game? Then also, since they wouldn't be "making money" off of the ncaa couldn't they in turn send out roster files for free at the beginning of each season, then sell us game updates/upgrades every season as game improvements?

I hope EA finds a way to stick this crap up everyone who is involved's butt.

Re: Future of NCAA Football

I for one am really glad for this decision. EA makes too much money off this game to stop making it if they have no competition, and I could completely see 2K sports working on a game for 2 years to try and steal market share away from EA. If we could get something along the lines of NCAA The Show then I would easily drop $120 on it. Also, the question about having rosters on day one is not a question of the NCAA not allowing EA to do it. It is because you cannot use someone's likeness for trade or advertising purposes without having a legal agreement with them (parody and satire are protected). You would have to pay the players like they do the NFLPA, but that would result in them losing their college eligibility.

Home run? EA? The game has been subpar at best this entire generation. Do you really think they can turn things around that quickly?
