Running back problem

My running back keeps trying to toss the ball to other players every other play and consequently fumbles more times than not. I am not pushing any buttons to make this happen other than controlling the stick. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a way to turn off the lateral pass feature? I am not even pressing the L1 button, so I have no idea why he is doing this. Thanks.

Re: Running back problem

Probably a hardware problem. Does this happen when you use other controllers?

Re: Running back problem

I traded out controllers and it doesn't seem to have an effect. This would occur occasionally with TE's and WR's out out the blue and it even cost me the National Championship in my previous season, but now the HB's decided they would join in the action and just randomly toss the ball on the ground. The controls appear to be locked because I wanted to disable the L1 button that controls the toss. I wanted to see if anyone else had this problem. I do appreciate the response. Thanks.

Re: Running back problem

I experienced something like this on ncaa 11. However, it was the defense that would toss the ball on the ground after an interception. I think i modified the sliders for ints or something and that reduced the times it would happen.

Re: Running back problem

Thanks for the replies. I will try lower the fumble slider and see if that helps. Fumbles are annoying, but not half as annoying as watching the HB actually slow down through an open hole to the endzone just to fake pump a reverse toss to no one. It's even worse when he does decide to throw it behind him into the hands of the pursuing defenseman. I don't mind fumbles, but one on every three runs by a HB (any HB) is ridiculous. Thanks again guys.

Re: Running back problem

having this same exact problem tried four different controllers. dont know wth but makes the game unplayable since at random points your HB just decides to give the other team the ball...

Re: Running back problem

It could be a problem with interference from some other wireless device (someone else's game controller, phone, remote, etc) too.
