They definitely showed off a new blue helmet with a Chrome M on both sides a while back, the only question is whether they stuck with that concept, in addition to the version with an M on one side and the number on the other, or if they got rid of it figuring that it was borderline redundant. We can't tell by these pictures (because we only see the Chrome M on one side, and the chrome numbers on one side).

That dark looking chrome looks much better than what we originally saw, however odds are that's just the lighting and it will be too bright in actual daylight.

I wish they would have just gone with Silver/Grey for the alternate helmets, but hey at least they have non-chromed facemasks. As much as I dislike most Chrome Domes the thing that always makes them look worse is the use of a chromed facemask, they always look plastic and cheap

they have 3 different knee brace accent colors, the burnt orange, black and white version. although I believe in the 2012 season the road braces were always black w/ black accents. the road braces were either black w/ black or black w/ orange.

You're right it does look black and it looks sweet. A black helmet looks great with that combo.
