No harm in that was just wondering because going to bigger schools kills dynasties imo but if its "your school" I could see where it would keep it up.

Though it is not for everybody we currently run a website for our OD and write our own weekly recaps, post videos, pictures, and other content to the website to get more hype up for our yearly conference, recruiting, and title races. We all start with 1 star schools and build them up and it is a lot of fun to look back at the struggling times and then to see what player(s) made the team break out into a national powerhouse.
Where can I sign up? lol This is essentially what I do. I play and recruit on Heisman and only do dynasties with 1 star teams. I play 3 to 4 games and sim the rest of the season.

Dynasty reports. I created them to make me hold myself accountable to every decision and it's fun to include fellow readers along the way. If I go undefeated - someone is going to call me out on it and makes me change up my idea of sliders, etc. That is the best way I can think of anything being remotely entertaining offline. I can't do online dynasties - just not big into stick skills, etc.

What I plan to do is take three 1 star schools as well as my Alma Mater and try to build them up to the point that they get into their regions premier conference eventually.

USF (Pro Style/Tampa 2) AAC -> ACC -> SEC

Texas State (Flexbone/4-2-5) Sun Belt -> CUSA -> AAC -> Big 12

Idaho (Air Raid/3-4) Ind -> Sun Belt -> Mountain West -> PAC 12

Akron (Read Option/3-3-5) MAC -> CUSA -> ACC/AAC -> Big 10

I remember reading a long time ago about setting up a card system for your dynasty on a week by week basis. What you do is make a set of cards, shuffle them and then pick one for each week. What they can say for instance is "Bench Starting QB due to low grades" etc etc.. or "Try experimental defense for 1 half".

I can't put a name on who posted this idea on here, but I tried it in my dynasty and I had ALOT of fun with it. I will probably do it in NCAA 14

I've done something very similar before in past versions that didn't have enough injury occurrences: Begin with random draw of someone on the roster, then draw a injury and associated time to be sidelined. Example: OLB #18 DeHart, pulled groin, out 4 weeks.

I am hoping '14 has an improved distribution of computer generated injuries. 98% of the injuries occurring in '13 are skill players, mostly RB and QB. Injuries and depth are part of the game and it adds to the experience to have a realistic amount of injuries.

Re: Keeping your Dynasty fresh

I make a teambuilder team full of seniors that is around 50 overall and really try to build a program from scratch. I love being able to sign 25 guys and have them make an impact immediately. I tend to agree with you though, I cannot stand playing with decent teams or not having playoffs because of how detrimental it is to lose one game. I'm hoping heisman is much harder this year. I know it may sound strange but I dislike how easy it is to make a bowl even with a team around 50 overall. I want to be able to pull off a single win and celebrate like crazy. However, I'm not sure how that would work with the unrealistic coach contracts heh.

Nothing is better than having 12 great guys in a league. I simply can't go back to play the CPU ever again.
