I can't imagine trying to go back to regular 2.1 stereo sound for gaming or movie watching. I used to not think it wasn't that big of a difference but I went over a friends house who got just got a mid-level surround sound system for his new place. We got drunk and he played a bunch of key scenes from movies and I was hooked. I bought a system a month later.
Sports and general gaming for me went to a whole another level with 5.1 surround sound. NCAA is no different. You feel like you are there! Especially when you load custom sounds into the game.
