I really hope they patch this, but with each passing day I'm starting to doubt they will.
it is hard to believe they won't do this

Maybe with the monopoly being destroyed, a quality game maker like 2k will put out a college game

I get home, pop in the game and man I couldn't even play an entire game with the defensive coverage bugs, I spent hours messing with sliders and nothing helped. So I finally got sick of the crap and went out and bought All-Pro Football 2K8 and put the 2013 NFL rosters and am very happy I made this decision. It's crazy how NCAA Football 14 and Madden 25 is just now getting some of the stuff this game had back in 2007! Any way I am going to trade NCAA Football 14 in towards Madden 25, if Madden 25 pass coverage is better then it should be a decent game.
I'm not sure what defense you are running but if you are running a defense such as 4-3 or 3-4 zone on 4 to 5 spread wide receiver sets then yes you will get burnt on almost every play. You have to change your defense up on these situations. What I do is run the nickel or a 4 cb defense package with 1 or 2 lbs. Also you want to run the man to man coverages this corrects the zone bug. Some may say its more realistic this way. Especially in this game it seems a lot of teams run a spread or hurry up offense if you are running against a pro set offense with 2 or 3 receivers then zone will be okay. Not to say your not going to get burned once in awhile but on spreads you want to run nickel or a majority of cbs instead of lbs. One of my fav defense to run is the man to man with 4 cbs and 1 lb as a spy. This defense is awesome against hurry up and spread teams.

I assumed due to the Ed O' Bannon case and everyone essentially saying screw EA we no longer want anything to do with you, EA has decided to worry about it's other games now and throw NCAA14 on the backburner...

Re: NCAA 14 Post-Day 1 Patch Impressions

my final verdict

1 game play is good enough, visuals are nice, but
2. the game has no life what so ever, atmosphere, commentary, sideline, etc. are beyond boring
3. I find this game very easy to turn off, that's whether Im winning or losing. IMO,The game has 0 immersion factor. and based on the Madden25 demo also feels like this.

4. camera angles why didn't they include the broadcast camera!!!

5. penalties-anyone seeing them Im sure not

I am a little late to the party. Just played a few games so far, but having a tough time getting into it. Not sure why?....it seems slow. Both gameplay and the pace of the game itself. Just seems stuck in molasses. Might just be my ADD getting worse with age?

I've been playing this game on Very Fast game speed and what a blast it is to play. Give it a shot. You wont regret it. Tackles, catches, sprinting, running, and player movement are as close to real life football as you'll get. Highly enjoyable. You will never get sick of it. But try to play a season with this speed before you draw any conclusions. Trust me. You'll thank me for it later.

Peace out!
