I don't think there are any differences in HDMI cables either. I mean I have owned three different ones since owning a PS3 and they all have looked the same to me. So there is no way I would pay big money for a cable to give me the exact same picture as a cheaper one. I paid $20 for the ones I have and I think I paid to much.

Trust me, stick with selling your rocketfish and insignia line cables. You'll make more profit that way!
this is what I always heard. under 10 ft, they are all the same. when you go over 10 ft, then all the insulation / metals starts to make a difference.

Well, yes and no. The technology in a 5 foot cable can't be used in a 50ft cable so the 50ft cable will be more expensive, but again you'll either get an image or you won't (or it'll do really obvious stuff like flicker on and off.) The image won't degrade, it just may not make it to the TV. Active cables can go to much greater lengths but are more expensive.

They did. But Moster left because the Beats owners didn't want to put the Monster name on their boxes and I'm sure there are other internal reasons. JVC now makes Beats. You can buy JVC branded headphones for $10-20. But bow when you put the Beats name on the box it inflates the price $280.

Monster now makes their own brand: DNA

Because they were blue. Yep just the color, to me the style of the headphones is more important to me than the sound quality, My car is blue, most of my clothes are blue, and being on a college campus I like to walk around with my headphones around my neck a lot, and the sennheisers style just wasn't doing it for me, so what "value" is greatly varies from person to person, we don't have the right to say something isn't worth it's price tag.

Back on the HDMI cables If you are telling me a cable that is 3$ performs the same as a cable that is 5% silver with Polyethylene Insulation then all I can say is do some research, I've been privileged enough to go see these cable be made, I've been fortunate enough to talk to the people who make them, and lucky for me I own a few. But if you are going to go spend $2500 on a TV and throw a 3 dollar HDMI cable on it you are doing nothing other than selling yourself short. So basically I've shared the knowledge with you guys, what you do with it from here is your own choice, but I think I'm done with this thread.
I think we all understand your point. But I also understand that your a 19 year old working at Best Buy while going to college. With your reasoning to buy something because of the color? That's like deciding to smoke cigarettes because Mad Men is your favorite show. Doesn't sound to be a very informed decision, considering Beats is just an over priced pair of headphones with over payed athletes to promote said headphones. The insides of those Beats are JVC crap.

As you get older, you will make decisions based on more than just a color. I have a pair of Audioquest cables because I got them for cost so I figured why not. But I also have an HDMI cable from the intranets I bought for $10. There really is no difference. Look at the tech specs online. The only difference that can happen is if your tv is calibrated, so that your tv isn't flushed with Blue. Having your new LCD tv calibrated is really the only way to have the best picture for gaming, movies and just regular tv watching.

You are FOOLISH if you honestly believe all HDMI cables are the sam, I do this for a living.
Sorry to say dude but you are wrong.

No difference in video/audio quality from a $3 HDMI or a $300. Countless test have proven this.

When I put my TV on 1080p the picture quality is much worse then when I put it on 1080i ... is that normal?

I don't think you are lying. I'm sure you really believe what you are saying. But you are just plain wrong. This isn't a matter of opinion. You are arguing that the earth is flat. You work at a store that sells people cables for $50 that they could get for $5 at Monoprice. You are going to do a better job of selling these cables to people if you actually believe that the $50 cable offers an advantage. For this reason you've been misled.

Expensive cables might last longer, but they won't give you a better picture. With a digital signal, the reception will either be perfect, absolutely horrible (sparkles), or nonexistent. Usually, it will be either perfect or nonexistent. So an HDMI cable either works or it doesn't. Go to the website of one of the high-end HDMI cable manufacturers and you'll see a lot said about the quality of their cables. They might even say that they make the "best" HDMI cables. One thing they won't explicitly say, however, is that their HDMI cables will give you better picture quality than cheaper alternatives. They can't say this because it is factual untrue, and they can get in trouble for explicitly lying. So they will put out a bunch of factually true but misleading information, inviting consumers and 19 year old Best Buy salespersons to come to the untrue conclusion that their cables really do offer a better picture quality than other cables.
