The money that EA makes should have seperate teams for both XBOX and PS2. That way each system can be used to the fullest. I hope they at least consider going this route for the next gen consoles.

If I had a nickel for every time I've stated or thought that, I could buy Microsoft from Bill G. and hire all the development guys from EA.

Why couldn't the guys at EA just make the PS2 version of 2005 us two full memory cards? Wouldn't this give much needed saving space and allow the makers of NCAA more room to work with? I would assume that most PS2 users already have two or more memory cards anyway. Woudl this work?

They could make the game to work in Dynasty mode on the PS2 only if the player has a HDD. If they did the same thing in Madden, this could work to sell many more PS2 hard drives too. I've got mine and I'm waiting for some games besides SOCOM II to support it...

Dude, I'm just crazy enough to go out and buy an HD simply to have those expanded rosters.

I bet quite alot of NCAA fans share the feeling with me.

I don't understand their exact proggramming ways... but it's interesting that they can add all these div.2 teams, features.. and mascot teams but can't add 10-15 more players on to a roster.

Think about it...the roster files and dynasty files are already good sizes, but then add 10 players for each of the 110 teams, that's over 1000 new players to save onto the file. I know this isn't an issue for the xbox, but it is an issue for the PS2. How much that expands the file size by, I'm not sure, but it would definitely increase. It has nothing to do with what can or cannot fit on the DVD, so removing mascot teams or any other features is not the solution. Basically the only way to keep the dynasty save the same size while expanding the roster would be to cut down stat tracking or other stuff like that. I'm sure nobody wants to see that happen.

Got a source for that?

Lots of people speculate as to why EA hasn't expanded the roster size, but I have yet to see a quote from EA saying that was the case.

I don't need a source, it's common sense. If you're writing a paper or something that is 1 page long, it's going to be a much smaller file size than a document that is 100 pages long. Same thing if you go from 100 to 200. You're saving more information, so the file size increases. The same principle would apply when going from saving information for 6,435 players (55 roster spaces x 117 teams) to 7,605 players (65 roster spaces x 117 teams).
