I'm curious to know more details of what shifts you employ. I like to shift the d-line to the wide side of the field especially in passing situations. If I think the opponent is going to throw a short pass I sometimes press the defensive backs but there is a risk of giving up a big play.

I haven't seen a comprehensive list of what shifts are available pre-snap. I know some of them but not sure I know all of them.

I usually shift my DL to the weak side of the field and stun them towards the wide side. LBs are usually shifted to the strong side. When I begin to pick up on the other team's tendencies I start going away from that and shifting/stunting to prepare for what I expect to come.
