Why do we have to wait 20 minutes...

I was unaware of this problem until yesterday evening. We were flying through our online dynasty until the offseason came and we came to a grinding hault. This is without a doubt one of the most frustrating things I have ever seen. We have been waiting for weeks to play this game, and now we spend five hours in the offseason, ridiculous. The slow progression of players, on top of the five hour wait for offseason, makes our one star teambuilder dynasty almost worthless to do. One person on an EA forum said EA has told him they will let him send his copy back for a full refund, which makes me wonder if this "temporary" fix will ever be removed, or if we will have to pay to get rid of the delay.

It is very annoying, particularly since I don't think we can advance the dynasty through a computer (can anyone confirm)?

However, remember that you can advance MULTIPLE WEEKS in a row. So for some of the parts of the offseason that you aren't as concerned about (maybe players leaving and transfer requests), you can sim through both of them without having to wait 20 mins. in between.

Just worth noting.

I understand about the advancing weeks, but if you have really good players leaving early skipping over it could hurt you. It's a shame we have to cut corners in something we enjoy just to make it some what tolerable.

I would go ahead. While it's annoying it's not unplayable. It isn't "Broken" etc.. It's just annoying to have to wait, period. Doesn't take away from the fun of dynasty mode. Once offseason is don't you're right back into it....

Hey Guys,

Really quick update; as of today we are lowering the off-season (and pre-season) advance limit. I'll have another update hopefully later today on other issues. Sorry for the slow response on some of these issues; we are working hard to fix as many things as we can.

I'm not certain the "temporary" statement isn't just smoke up the a$$, they had it this way for madden and a hanfull of other EA titles last year, with delays between online dynasties, carreers, whatever the game may call them, between weeks and during certain periods, and were never removed. And people complained about is as they are here. Some left, some stayed, others stayed around but just dealt with it....

Kudos if it is temporary though

I logged into my single player OD this morning and this appears to be gone. When I went to bed last night I was in recruiting week 3 and this morning I zipped through the rest of the offseason without having to wait any time at all between weeks.
