Re: Dynasty patterns

The way I got the Georgia job was that Mark Richt somehow won 4 games a year after winning 7. I won 13 in my first year there. And then because of the way I was recruiting I messed up the ability for a lot of other teams to recruit.

GT and the service academies tend to do well, option playbooks tend to proliferate (UCF runs Army's playbook with no huddle), and Baylor fell apart. I just saw Wisconsin go 11-1 a year after going 3-9. Boise never stays tough. La Tech tends to stay tough.

Minnesota tends to get really good after 10 years. That's always been a weird one to me.

Florida St tends to be very weak.

I usually pull in Appalachian State as a team builder and they turn into a powerhouse.

I recently moved Notre Dame back to being Indy after being in the ACC. While in the ACC they were dropping like a bag of rocks. They have since returned to the top ranks.

Not sure what's happening in my Auburn dynasty, then. Bama stays at 99s, fluctuates only b/t #1 and not much worse than #20, and nearly every year damages my recruiting as every in-state recruit keeps them at the top despite my good years and their 'down' years.

Here's the polls in Year 2021 in my dynasty, the week after Conference championship games, and right before Bowl games if anyone is interested

Re: Dynasty patterns

Service academies are consistent top 10-15 in mine. (In my mind, its attributed to such high enrollment of soldiers due to recent wars etc...more guys more talent. That's how I justify it).

PAC12 is strong...too strong...and they all destroy each other in conference play. No one team can emerge, but sometimes USC does.

SDSU and Fresno State both go back and forth from being very successful (IE 10-2 or so) to going 4-8. They seem to gain a prestige star every few years. Nearing 10 years in they're both teetering between 4-5 stars depending on that year.

Navy ended up beating UCLA in the National Champ game...This year they are ranked in the Top 3, I believe.
