The option comes up before certain matches. You get about 3-4 days. It has a red icon and microphone. Just press X to activate. Usually pops up before the bigger and more important matches.

I was just going through my Sounders MLS career. Montero asked for a transfer, I just let it go to see what would happen. Though I did get a tempting 10 mil offer from a EPL team.

I ended up getting a message from my board saying they won't interfer. Thought that was cool, in the end he wasn't sold.

He happens to have the highest morale on the team. So not selling him, apparently doesn't affect that.
