Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Well, I started my Nantes career but ended up rage quitting after being screwed in 2 straight preseason games against much lesser competition. Don't even want to touch that again.

I may have to drop down to World Class just to save my sanity.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

I'm quite annoyed with the fact that almost every player that is over 30 starts declining straight away. I was able to buy 33-34 year olds in Fifa 16, and still make them grow a little. Cazorla, for instance, in MGH's Arsenal career started declining straight away even though he played almost every game.

FIFA 15 - Season 12 (2025/2026)

October & November

Bundesliga
04 October 2025

Hertha BSC
0
0
VfL Bochum

One of those games where every 50/50 challenge went to Hertha. It became frustrating by the end and both teams didn’t capitalise on their chances, especially Hetha who had a penalty saved by Manuel Mortiz in the 77th minute.

3 Points – Patrick Bungert (CB)
2 Points – Manuel Mortiz (GK)
1 Point – Henrik Gulden (LW)

Bundesliga
18 October 2025

VfL Bochum
1
0
Werder Bremen

Ziegler (41)

Jack Barmby drags two Werder Bremen players out onto the right before back heeling it between the both of them to Bulut who sprints toward the penalty area until he dummies a cross back out onto the wing before lifting his cross into the area for Ziegler who has peeled off of his marker and can head home from close range to score the only goal of the game in the 41st minute.

3 Points – Thorsten Niemeyer (LCM)
2 Points – Onur Bulut (RW)
1 Point – Henrik Gulden (LW)

Bundesliga
25 October 2025

Bor. M’gladbach
1
1
VfL Bochum

Moraes (41)
Ziegler (90+4)

Jan Gyamerah is taken off after half an hour with a knee injury.
Thorsten Niemeyer is taken off at half time with an ankle injury.

After injuring two crucial players, Gladbach capitalise and score from a simple corner from Granit Xhaka that falls to the head of centre back Santana de Moraes who nods home from close range.

We equalise in the last minute of stoppage time with McCleary in the box controlling the ball well. He then distributes the ball to the right wing under pressure to Holthaus who takes a touch to stop the pass before delivering a sublime ball into the middle. The is somehow headed to the edge of the penalty area where Jack Barmby rises above the defender to nod the ball to Ziegler who has to hit it before it bounces due to pressure and absolutely smashes it on the volley into the bottom right corner.

3 Points – Henrik Gulden (LW)
2 Points – Robin Ziegler (ST)
1 Point – Martin Bezjak (RCM)

Deutscher Pokal
28 October 2025

VfL Bochum
1
0
Hertha BSC

Avenatti (76)

Avenatti gets on the end of a beautiful cross into the box by Onur Bulut for his first goal in Bochum colours. Hopefully the goal gives Avenatti a platform to move forward and score more after failing to score in his first six appearances.

SC Freiburg have been announced as our Round 3 opponents.

3 Points – Felipe Nicolás Avenatti (ST)
2 Points – Onur Bulut (RW)
1 Point – Christian Bachmann (LCM)

Bundesliga
01 November 2025

VfL Bochum
0
0
FC Köln

It was a boring one folks. Bezjak hit the crossbar from a long range shot late in the second half but nothing really happened overall.

3 Points – Junior McCleary (CB)
2 Points – Patrick Bungert (RB)
1 Point – Manuel Mortiz (GK)

Bundesliga
08 November 2025

Bor. Dortmund
2
1
VfL Bochum

Kołodziej PEN (26)
Čulina (31)
McCleary (38)

In the 38th minute, Henrik Gulden smashes his close range free-kick onto the crossbar but the rebound drops onto the head of the towering Junior McCleary to make the score 2-1.

Henrik Gulden red card in 67th minute.

3 Points – Manuel Mortiz (GK)
2 Points – Junior McCleary (CB)
1 Point – Felipe Nicolás Avenatti (ST)

Bundesliga
23 November 2025

Schalke 04
1
3
VfL Bochum

Sturgeon (37)
Ziegler (53, 90)
Banya (60)

In the 37th minute, Leon Goretzka cuts in from the left on the counter attack and puts the ball into the box and onto the run of Fábio Sturgeon who pokes the ball home past Mortiz.

In the 52nd minute, triangle passing on the right wing by Banya, Bezjak and Barmby sees the ball slotted through though the defence and to Julian Sorg who cuts into the box before finding Ziegler who delays his run to make space for his placed shot into the bottom corner with his left foot for the equaliser.

Julian Sorg picks out Bulut on the right. His floated cross is aimed at Ziegler but it’s behind him. The ball bounces to Banya who has plenty of time to take a touch before smashing the ball low and beating the keeper at his near post to make the score 2-1.

We finish the game off as Schalke pushes men forward and we run up-field on the counter. Cameron Brannagan runs it to the corner flag before turning and feeding the ball to the edge of the box to Bachmann who switches to the ball to the right flank to Bulut. Onur uses his pace to attack the by-line before smashing the ball across goal to Ziegler at the back post who tucks it home easily.

3 Points – Julain Sorg (CDM)
2 Points – Manuel Mortiz (GK)
1 Point – Onur Bulut (RW/LW)

Bundesliga
30 November 2025

VfL Bochum
1
0
FC Augsburg

Gulden PEN (7)

The start couldn’t be a better one and it wins us the match due to Augsburg defender Aleksandar Demiri pushing Ziegler maliciously in order to get in front of a long range shot from Henrik Gulden who ultimately takes the penalty to bring us 1-0 up after 7 minutes.

3 Points – Doneil Morgan (LB)
2 Points – Martin Bezjak (RCM)
1 Point – Manuel Mortiz (GK)

Who had the most points in October & November?

Manuel Mortiz – 9 Points
